JW Witnessing Trolleys. To approach or ignore what is your preference and why?
by KateWild ini saw two brothers this morning next to the main train station in liverpool city centre this morning.
they were not actively approaching anyone.
what i found strange was that they were from a cong that has different territory, so i don't know why they were there.. anyway i knew them both, and they know i was df'd, i was in my car and couldn't park up for a chat, but i did beep and wave to them as i drove passed and they waved back.

i'm all for it---its a win-win situation.
for the dubs---no door knocking--no need to talk to anyone--just keep an eye on the stand in case anyone steals it--or urinates on it.
for the public--no annoying door knockers---just walk past the stand--ignore it--and no-one will pester you.

by stuckinarut2 inso i have been told that all kingdom halls are to have a large jw.org sign placed prominently out the front..... can anyone confirm this?.

My Experience and how I finally let myself see the truth
by OneEyedJoe infirst off - for those lurkers who feel guilty just for being on this site and reading this (even if you don't read any further, as it is your right to choose that course) i want you to know that you're not alone in what you're going through or in what you are feeling.
if you read on, i hope my experience may be of some small help to you.. this may be long, but i'll try to organize it in a way that doesn't make it painful to read.

About 3 years ago, I was told that I'm no longer going to be allowed to be used as a reader for the WT because I don't comment enough. I was also encouraged to help my wife comment more. Then about a year ago two elders sat me down and told me that they would like to be able to reccommend me for MS, but I need to comment more and get more time in service
great---i think that neatly tells you all you need to know about that cult.

The Governing Body told two Elders to call !!!!
by Phizzy ina friend from the other end of the country just 'phoned and told me that a couple of days ago two elders knocked on his door.
he has been out for four or more years.. they told him it was c.o's visit, and the governing body have asked them to call on those whom they no longer see at the k.hall.. i guess this is an easier "field" than knocking on doors that never open, or where they are told "not interested".. my friend bill though, was not such an easy call.
apparently he managed to get in about 1914 being rubbish, the bible not being the word of god, because we cannot trust it, 1919 being rubbish as to the choosing of the fds and several other telling points.. i liked particularly that he said to them they were rather hypocritical asking householders to examine their faith, when jw's were simply not allowed to !.

I am DF'd now... Decisions, decisions...

i live in a place where i didn't really have new friends at the kh, so my day to day life isn't changing.
i'm just me living life like i was 2 weeks ago and 2 years ago.

take total control of the situation. tell your parents they are most welcome to come to your house to visit their grandchild--and you. but--under no circumstances will religious propaganda be allowed. tell them its entirely their decision. then play the waiting game.
