Toilet quandries: The seat: Up/Down and Toilet paper direction
by Terry inthose who have lived with the opposite sex know of the frustration of being lectured about some triviality.. the toilet seat/paper controversy is among the most inflammatory.. men who forget to put the toilet seat back down inspire anger, rage, resentment and the stern lecture.. the easiest solution is to train the man to always sit down when he goes.. .
others argue over the direction of the toilet paper: forward overlap or backward underlap.. .
how do you deal with these issues and how violent do you become?.
-
Joliette
Wow...the real debate is why people opt for dry toilet paper when wet are/baby wipes is/are the best!!!
...and whats the big deal about leaving the toilet seat up...just put it back down...women, always making things complicated. But a man should put it back down. Its all about working together as a team! ;)

Anyone remember the stupidist of talks?
by letsslatejws ini remember a talk being devoted to use of the correct grammatical pronunciation of words.
in fact any elder or brother for that matter who didnt use the correct pronunciation was viewed as illiterate and dorky so the congregation snubbed them.... i remember the word machinations (of the devil) and the emphasis that it should be pronounced mack in nations.... another one was.
behove was meant to be pronounced 'behoooved'.

A God of love?
by MrFreeze inthey try to tell you god is love.
if that isn't the biggest load i've ever heard than i don't know what is.. god is love huh?
what would you say if i told you that there was a child that was deathly ill and the father had the cure?
-
Joliette
I do understand how you feel. Its been very hard for me to 'comprehend' the whole GOD IS LOVE thing. I've always thought that its my own 10% thinking (being imperfect, not being able to comprehend things, etc). But yes, its very hard for me to get that, with so many children and women being abused throughout history, disease, war, sexism and racism, etc.
BUT I've always held on to the fact that there has to be justice. Theres just has to be.

DMCA Complaint from The WatchTower for links to KS-10 'Shepherding' book
by Simon inyes, that's right, they really do not like people being able to read that book so they wanted links to it removed (it appears they have also been going after the hosts of the content itself as well).. unfortunately, i had to removed the links (which were dead anyway when i checked) and i'd ask that people don't re-post them (sorry).
i'm sure there are lots of alternative ways for those with the information to get it to those who need it.. here are the discussions on the book:.

What do you think the WT's ultimate irony is?
by sabastious inoff the top of my head it would be the fact that they say that satan's world will brainwash you when you leave the wt.. -sab.
-
Joliette
That even though they gave "False Prophecies", they are not "False Prophets" because they admited that they were wrong when the prophecy didn't come true.
Yeah this is the biggest tongue twister...when a person prophesizes something and it doesnt come true...thats a false prophecy. Plan and simple. But the watchtower calls it 'an error.'
Speaking of errors, do you guys think the Watchtower is going to talk about 'The Millions now living will never die' series of talks, 1925, 1975, etc?

Another one:
That their truth is only the current truth, and that their 'truth' is subject to change @ anytime, when new light is introduced.
