over the past year or so my neighbor and two of his jw elder's have been witnessing to me about his family's practiced religion, jw.
i am a practicing independent baptist regular church go'er.
i have finally made up my mind regarding converting to jw based on my neighbors jw witnessing.
Although I no longer believe in the bible, I'd like to quote Matthew 23:13
" Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to."
If you ever visit the memorial of the ransom sacrifice, you will see a hall full of people refusing the blood and flesh of Jesus and this scripture will be clearly demonstrated.

to deceive, says one dictionary, means to cause to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid.
I remember being interested in totalitarian regimes and reading 1984 as a dub. Never did I notice the parallels when viewing propaganda posters of North Korea with the art style of the JW magazines. It just completely went by me. Even if somebody would have pointed it out I would have simply said "Yes but we are based on the bible!" or some other dumb thoughtstopper.
If you are deceived you never know! Once you know, you are no longer deceived.. so we should always ask ourselves, are we being deceived?

By "doing this" do you mean wearing a t-shirt that says "think for yourself" or "vast aposates army" while sitting quitely and not interrupting anyone? Why exactly would that cause members of the church of scientology to commit murder?

As far as cults go at least the JW response is nonviolent.. imagine doing this at a scientology meeting, you wouldn't leave alive.
That lady following was so creepy.. really something out of a horror movie.
They were probably expecting you to transform into a fiery demon and start shooting lightning bolts out of your eyes. At least that's the idea you get when you see how they react to your presence.

omg, one of my friends who hasn't removed me from her list eventhough i shoot down all the jw propaganda she sends me, sent me an email about phil donahue visiting a kingdom hall, with pics and all.. they claim he said that jw have done more for human rights during ww2 then any other group in america.. is this true?
has anyone else heard about this?.
i want to send phil the letter where the jw's wrote to hilter to tell them they don't like the jews either.. .
If only they would allow free speech inside kingdom halls..
