Elder's Manual

i am dying to get my hands on a full copy.

but if not....can someone at least confirm.....does it expressly say (somewhere in the manual) that simply not accepting society based doctrine is grounds for disfellowshipping (on charges of apostasy?

I think it even helps elders to ask people who they think might be apostes if they agree that the watchtower society is God's chosen organization. If you answer no, you are disfellowshipped. If you ever have an elder ask you that, it's because he wants to see you disfellowshipped.

there are times when i hate the borg.

when i think about my lost childhood in it, the draconian level of authority and all the idiots i had to put up with over the years, i get very bitter, angry and resentful.. i went through a stage of turning the other cheek and praying for thine enemies but that didn't really work for me.

i remained on boiling point, simmering under the surface.. i now have reached a more pragmatic viewpoint.

I think it would be great to see a decrease in the number of publishers and look at them try to spin that with lame excuse after lame excuse. There won't be a drastic failure but I think within the next 10 years the membership will start to decline and pretty soon there won't be many left and they will become even more trivial to the world than they already are.

...made an interesting comment last night.. some of you may know that she is not into digging up dirt on the wtbts.

she realizes that there are some things wrong with the organization, but wishes to just ignore them for the sake of stability and preserving friendships.

Very funny, yesterday I read in the news that in Eve Online (a massively multiplayer online game) there was a ponzi scheme (e.g. Bernie Madoff) and the perpetrator said that it was very important not to advertise the ponzi scheme on forums and websites, but only in local chat channels so that when people responded negatively, there were not a lot of people around to see it and it would not linger.

In other words, the WTS subconsciously knows it is wrong otherwise why would they use these kind of tactics?

Stupid suggestion from Study Conductor

hi everyone, first i just want to say if it wasn't this forum, i'd be baptized!

i haven't managed to successfully end my studies with a zealous jw.

she uses everything against me to brainwash me into believing i need the org.

Simply say no.. if she doesn't accept it, say no again. You don't have to explain why not. If she wants to know why, simply tell her "I don't want to explain to you why. I simply don't want to go and I don't want to continue with my bible study either and I don't want to talk about it." You are in control of your own life, don't let others make you do things you don't even want to do.

WHY IT'S TIME TO LEAVE THE UK !

these comments are the reason why my family are leaving the uk, the comments are not mine but give a insight to what a dump the uk has become... i'm a 22 year old male and left the uk at 21 to live in australia and again like many people have said on here.

it is one of the best things i could have done.

the pay in the uk is disgusting.. the average pay here for a very average job is $20 an hour that is 12 an hour, thats just for stacking shelves at supermarkets.
