Are you suspicious of LURKERS?
by VampireDCLXV inwe all know they're here but we don't really know who they are.. they are people who sign up here and then never comment (or rarely ever do).. doesn't that make any of you regulars here at the very least a tiny bit suspicious?.
why would a person sign up to a forum like this and then never say a damn thing?
it seems to me that there is a primary reason why some folks sign up and then never comment on anything: to spy.

Are You For Or Against The Death Penalty?
by minimus ini clearly am for it if it's proven without a doubt that a person murdered another in cold blood.
recently, in connecticut, a man was convicted of killing 2 young girls and their mother.
the animal raped them and almost killed the defenseless husband/father who could do nothing while these atrocities were being carried out in his own home!.

I agree in principle BUT I think that it's not practical. Too many mistakes tend to be made. It's best to isolate harmful individals from the population.
It's ridiculous to say "kill 'em all and let God sort them out"...

I'm sorry to hear that, Dan. I understand your frustration at those who are so militantly anti-god that they don't stop to think about who they're hurting. Disagreement is one thing BUT vicious mockery is another. There's too much of THAT here. I myself try to stay out of threads that can be potentially explosive unless I'm fired up to make a valid point. Perhaps you can try the same? For me, it wasn't for lack of trying. It was just that I couldn't bear it. It drove me to the brink of insanity. I crashed. Just me though...
As for others who are still "stuck": do what you gotta do but don't stay too long. You could end up in a rubber room somewhere.

Do you agree to disagree?
by cyberjesus insometimes in many conversations or debates, some people try to end it by saying "i agree to disagree".
if you have an inquisitive mind and critical thinking, are you comfortable disagreeing about factual information?

With many folks, it takes time for things to sink in, CJ. It doesn't just happen automatically that folks say "OMG! You're absolutely right! What a fool I've been!". You gotta give em time. Logic-chopping doesn't get you anywhere.
Other times, your points aren't as unassailable, logical and as completely factual as you might think. There are people who can make their case and verbalize it better than most others, but that doesn't make it the complete and utter gospel truth. Just because something to you seems perfectly logical and self evident doesn't mean that others are going to see it the same way. As Pontius Pilate said: "What is truth"?
If you think it's all for lack of intelligence, I will disagree with you on the spot!
