  Is it fashionable to wear animal print clothing? JWN ladies, do you wear that kind of stuff?

  a friend of mine made the statement that only old women wear animal print clothing.

  she said this some weeks ago, and ever since i have been noticing that it is the more mature of the mature population still wearing leopard print, and zebra print fashions.

  granted occasionally i see younger gals wearing that stuff too, but its usually as an accessory such as a shawl.

  The G-20 venue’s use of goldfish to monitor water safety has sparked controversy.

  Following news that water at the site of the G-20 meeting is being monitored for impurities by a team of goldfish, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has called for a rethink.

  In a letter to the management of the COEX venue, Tracy Reiman, PETA Executive Vice President, expressed alarm at possible harm that may be done to the fish.

  “Subjecting goldfish to contaminated water would serve little purpose besides causing them to suffer horribly,” she writes. “After all, the fish cannot tell you specifically what might be wrong with the water.”

  Ms. Reiman adds: “Sophisticated non-animal analytical methods…can more reliably detect and isolate the cause of any potential water problems.”

  In response, a member of the COEX water treatment team responded angrily, saying that the goldfish are simply showcasing that the water is safe.

  “I don’t think we’re abusing goldfish for this. We’re pouring treated, recycled water into the fish tank after scientific tests that show the water is safe,” said the official. “We’re confident the goldfish won’t die. So we’ll continue with the plan.”

  okay guys, i have a little time on my hand ( a little).. as i was going through public school, the persecutions and ostracism remained.

  it was a very difficult thing to be a jw kid in comunism.

  parents could not "homeschool" like in us, which i am sure my mother would have done if she could.

  Suggest a coffee maker, please

  i can expect my coffee pots to malfunction usually about the time the year warranty runs out.

  i have gotton the coffeemakers at jip*lmart for the last 10 years or more; none have lasted much longer than a year..ok maybe 18 months at the most.. anyway, since it stopped brewing, i have just been pouring hot water from stovetop over the coffee grinds....sort of the melita way, but it doesn't exactly f l o w like a melita.. i would like to have something non-electric like melita, but i hate that name now because it reminds me of jacarass's ill tempered wife.. can anyone recommend a good coffee maker?.

  also, do you find any difference in the quality of a name brand product when it's sold at jip*mart as opposed to a place more upscale?.

  we all know they're here but we don't really know who they are.. they are people who sign up here and then never comment (or rarely ever do).. doesn't that make any of you regulars here at the very least a tiny bit suspicious?.

  why would a person sign up to a forum like this and then never say a damn thing?

  it seems to me that there is a primary reason why some folks sign up and then never comment on anything: to spy.
