it's just so weird to me.
for a group that is against idolatry so much and yet each person has to "touch" the bread and wine.. one lady was standing and holding a baby.
she called the server over just so she could put her thumb on the bread and wine.. did jesus ever clarify what he wanted them to do in remembrance of him?
It always appeared to me to be a complete disappointment.
It is the only thing wt celebrates and it is so lifeless & so overblown!
Inside of an hour we are home again peeling off those high heels & pantyhose. Jackets & ties tossed on the back of the couch as the fatigue kicks in.
It has been 5 yrs out of the weird world of watchtower for me...never been happier!
so my hubby has been on a bit of a roll about the jdubs, we were talking a lot about them & he said the buzz word he hate's the most is "worldly" why?
because he say's "with that one word they have condemned (according to their believes) a person as being worthy of nothing but death.

let's set aside our differences for the moment and appreciate this excellent documentary cedars put together that should prove to be an invaluable tool in helping to expose the child abuse issues in the organization.. i was humbled to be able to help with this project on such an important subject, though my part in it was insignificant..
Excellent work on this subject. Hoping to forward it to hard core family & friends but need to "plough before I plant" first, as wt use to instruct us to do!

Where in jesus supposed words did he say overlapping generations? He said "Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place." and those followers that he was talking to hadn't all died 40 yrs later when Jerusalem & the temple were destroyed. Where does it mention overlapping!

my mom and dad divorced over their different beliefs over a year ago (my mom is jw and my dad is an very knowledgeable apostate, so you can see how they would fight over it), and since then i've stopped believing altogether.. just thought i'd say hello.

Well Millie that has been the case.
Leo Greenlees & a chubby guy ... Percy ...cant remember last name, were gb members and the rest just turned a blind eye. Even Freddie Franz was weird in that way ..... many hours spent in the steam room (necked as a jailbird!) with the young boys!
Percy had a special boys who were called Percy's boys!
