Oh yeesssssss ....... didn't like the cut & dried answer in the watchtower, so I put up my hand and gave a much fuller answer! Got severely whipped for that ...and sure enough, guess who got beaten again the next meeting? Me. I'm so proud of my brazen behavior!

Jehovah's witness meetings are NOT BORING......

...i was told but they usually were as i look back.. as a lad i'd sit and look to see who the lights would fall on.

i'd get an almond and see how long i could suck it before i chewed at it.

i'd imagine playing rock'n'roll on the congregation's piano.. how did you get through the meetings when you were bored?.

Well I came into this religion cult with a couple of kids in tow, so was pretty blitzed out to start with ... could always count on standing at the back or walking around outside with them, so that sure helped!

Outlaw's picture sure highlites why there are no windows in these buildings lol, there would be such a panic to grab the window seats! I guess CB had the only one!

The following is why I just couldn't go again........too funny.

Meetings are only boring to adults who aren't paying any attention and children who have no idea what's going on. When I attend meetings, it's all I can do to keep myself from rushing the stage and announcing they're all a bunch of retarded idolaters for worshiping 7 old men they can't even identify.

I've gotten to the point where I don't stifle my snickers and moans every time they say something blasphemous or stupid. I can't get tired at a meeting, because I'm too pissed off and want to punch someone"

in real life, i do not ask people questions.. i don't look like the avatar of minimus.. i am very personable and well liked.. and....i'm pretty discerning, should i say so myself..

I am still a work in progress ... I hope to never stop learning.

Don't know how I appear to others but I'm liking myself more as I get farther out of the jw jugmental mind set. I ndependence is my middle name.

I hope I am being true to myself. Mostly I hope my sense of humour shows up on here occasionally!

Advice needed about my study with a JW.

i've never been a jw, and i'm having a difficult time trying to understand the perspective of a born-in jw.

i want to ask questions that will cause this family member to began to think outside the box, but i don't want to trip off any apostate alarms and have him put his guard up.

i also don't want to waste time and energy asking questions that he can easily brush off and give the prepackaged watchtower answer without having to really think.

I dont like using "their" name for God

i realize that i avoid using their name for god.. i can say it................. jehovah.

but i'll avoid it almost always..... if i'm talking with you,.

on the rare occasions that i am in conversation with any jdub family,.

I counted how many times the name was used during a prayer ... 12 times!

Do they think that after the 1st time, we forget it's a prayer to jehovah? Who else is there at a kingdom hall? Maybe highest name dropper wins!

Imagine if someone kept saying your name over & over within a 3 minute conversation. You'd think they were nuts or suckin up for something!

I grit my teeth in the rare event of having to use it!

i'm still a semi member of the kh but not at all active and have major doubts when i started reading all kinds of opposing literature.

talked to elders about this and also my father but my father but he still believes it's the "truth".

anyways jist of this story is i gave my father a copy of "crisis of conscience".

Did anyone hear Cunningham's description of GB.

He said that the"annointed" was like a huge ship...and the rudder is the GB"

Then he quoted matt24:45 ... as "who really is the RUDDER?"

"who really is the faithful & discrete slave channel?"

He said some disturbed people write letters to gb to explain that they were wrong, he said they had schizophrenia!!!!

And if you write letters to gb he says "that makes you a rudder" (trying to be?)

Hard to keep listening .......uuuugggggg.
