I agree with this statement.... I know that I would still be a JW myself if it hadnt been for the internet. As it is I am just celebrating my 1st Anniversary of leaving JWdom...

I say if the fashion is pants down sagging round the butt then so be it. Teens darent stand out otherwise they suffer unecessarily due to peer pressure... Something JW kids have had to put up with for years... so snowbird its hard chedder if you dont like it.
Im sure there are many things that current teens dont like about your dress code, but they equally have to put up with it.... lol
Im neither old nor young but know better than to question their style ....

Has anyone successfully faded without moving out of the territory?
by NiceDream inso far i've managed to avoid speaking to the elders who drop by.
just wondering if they'll eventually give up in a couple years.
anyone have experience with this?.

Weve faded for a whole year now. Weve had visits every month, then every 6 weeks and then out the blue 2 weekly. They so far havent been for the last 6 weeks so Im hoping they will eventually leave us alone. They seem determined to keep dropping the latest WT / Awake with us. Im not altogether sure I want this to stop as I like looking through them to laugh and scoff at the rubbish in them. There is absolutely NO danger that I will get re-sucked in !!!!
I had hoped to tell them to push off as Id really love to decorate the front of the house for Xmas (for the benefit of my junior/teen children) but quite frankly I dont see this happening...
I dream of a hugh blow up Father Xmas on the lawn, and instead of a sign stating Santa Stop Here i'd have Bog Off JW's :)

Kingdom Hall Rebuild on the Cheap .... Slave Labour!
by letsslatejws inmy father in law visited us today full of the joys of spring... he was excited to declare that he has been doing security on the kingdom hall quick build.
he has been left alone in a portacabin / caravan on duty with a sister between the hours of 12 midnight until 6 am in the morning !!!.
i think it is disgusting that a 72 year old man is being used like this... how they can expect him to be of any good in seeing off teenage thugs is beyond me.

No there not married & they are not seeing one another. The mother in law died 2 years ago. The rosta wasnt of his own making, but designed by brothers to enable 7 or 8 different congregations to share in 24 hour security surveillance... I dont care myself that they are together but I find it totally suprising that the brothers actually put them together on a rosta!

Brothers and sisters are rallying around making up hot dinners for the workers (Free food of course for Free Services Rendered!) - What is more the JW's who are making up the food are doing a 50 mile round trip to ensure that the brothers are fed, when there is a KFC and numerous other fast food outlets on their doorstep....
He will be on Security for another 6-8 weeks. His other jobs with include keeping an inventory of deliveries from the organisations preferred suppliers !

my brother in law used to fix tv's and he was constantly being contacted by jw's who he had not spoken to in years, yet when they wanted something they were there quick as a flash.

I used to think it was such a cheek, especially when they clearly wanted a freebie fix or a major discount !!! Anyone else have this problem???
