an apostate encounter with JW's in a chapel
by ninja inwas at a wedding yesterday......catholic wedding.....my witness wifes family.
behind sat my in laws and another couple of witnesses from up inverness way....."the foys" who are also extended family.
as soon as the priest came out for the ceremony.....i could hear clearly from behind.....from the four of them.

Im surprised they even went into the church, when my sister was married in a Church of England Church they waited outside whilst the ceremony went ahead. They just wanted to make a scene so that other people would want to know why they werent going in & so they could give a good witness.

If you felt/feel that you had/have good, close "friends" in the org, how did/does it feel to just give them up?
by Crisis of Conscience inthis is my biggest dilema.
although mentally i really feel i could walk away from the org right now, i still have genuine love for the people i have come to know over the years.
i love people!.

Sealing of the Anointed..... ?!
by letsslatejws ini know that the anointed were meant to have been sealed in 1935 but due to the steady increase in the anointee numbers a recent wtbs article has said that 1935 is no longer the case... does anyone know the exact article and its date this information was detailed in?

The Watchtower is now the world's largest magazine!
by life is to short innewsmaxs magazine just published an article that the watchtower is the most read magazine out there it evens surpasses time.. i have never heard of newmaxs but i just was emailed this and thought you might find it interesting.
i am sorry i do not know how to give the link so i am cutting and pasting.

Worlds largest magazine.... Like hell it is!!!
Its just circulated or stockpiled by the majority of JW's like I did. I recently burnt a bulk load of WT's as I had loads of them. Never placed them but needed to keep my report sheet looking good so had to keep my orders inflated to enable me to invent placements! - What a geek I was !!!! Who was I trying to kid.......

20 years out & yet still suffering from family shunning :( ... Big hugs to you.
Im pleased you shared your story, it helps me realise Im not on my own in being shunned and helps me see the JWs for what they are a little bit more every day Exactly 1 year out & counting :)
Dont know why but one day I used the interest & simply woke up !!!!
I would never look on the internet because like a good girl I always did as I was told, but one day I was feeling resentful & rebellious, so I looked thinking what harm can it do.... Weirdly my hubby had been snooping too & together we pieced the jigsaw together & ditched taking with us our 4 youngish children...
Nothing tastes as good as FREEDOM....

Bigmac I think those that are getting on their high horses arent from England judging by the OTT responses...
I think its quite ok of you to wonder whether members/elders nosing here on this site expect their to be an Amaggedon for them to live through or else if they snuff it they hope for a resurrection....
As you know I left Oct 09 and it took me to the beginning of the year to start to lose these expectations,. so I would expect elders still in the WTBS to probably still hold that belief until they realise the real truth....
