what was your motivation for doing so and how has it worked out?.

if you haven't joined the lds or considered it, as an ex-jw, what is your general view of the lds faith?.

tell us a little about yourself and your family.. my name is randy, i live in chandler, az with my wife and our daughters.

my oldest is married and has a son, making us grandparents.

my second still lives at home with us, but recently got engaged, so will be leaving the nest soon.

Quantum Physics and philosophy about God

God's problem: Randomness

i would like some input on this idea.

i have seen folks speak about god's problem in regards to suffering.

that subject does raise some serious obstacles between the views of god most people have and the real world.

i am the organizer of the chandler az, ex-jehovah's witnesses support group.

i am moving the group from meetup.com to groupspaces.com.

groupspaces.com provides a free service for groups like ours with fewer than 50 members.

Shun Run 2013 - Good turn out!

20 made it out for our shun run 2013. we walked the 2.3 miles, then attend a meetup at the library.

although we planned only for 1 hour at the library the speaking went on for additional 45 minutes, with no objections or anyone falling asleep (acts 20:9).

this is a bit cheesy and hopefully no one will mind too much, but i'll let you know i posted more details and pictures over at the yuku ex-jw forum: http://exjehovahswitnessforum.yuku.com.

Shun Run 2013 - Final Booster & Details

welcome to the shun run 2013 show love, don't shun.

every year thousands of individuals leave the faith of jehovah's witnesses.

although we have asked the leadership to consider softening their stance on extreme shunning it seems they've chosen the opposite course.. in fact the watchtower study for march 10, 2013 was an article entitled: let nothing distance you from jehovah .. paragraph 17 acknowledged the pain shunning causes in a family, when it said:.

last year our group organized a "shun run".

nine of us walked and ran to bring attention to the issue of shunning.

i am planning a public awareness event for april 1, 2012, i calling "shun run/walk 2012" to draw attention to shunning policies of jehovah's witnesses.

i use to help out as a moderator on the ex-jehovah's witness recovery forum on yuku, so this is a cross post from that site.
