by cofty ini took up cycing a couple of months ago just to get fitter and lose a bit of excess weight.. i bought a second-hand hybrid bike (weighs only slightly less than a truck) and fitted road tyres.
four or five times a week i will go for a ride after work for an hour or so.
i am fortunate enough to live in rural north england surrounded by limitless quiet roads.

I seldom post. Been lurking since the beginning. I ride about 2,500 miles per year. I live in the Pacific NW region of the US.
Have done tours in the Republic of ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Italy and parts of the US.
If I knew how to post a picture I'd show my wife & I on our tandem.

by Malsonilla ini keep crossing paths with people who are in recovery, that is, recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.
these folks regularly attend alcoholics anonymous and narcotics anonymous meetings and are all somewhere in the process of working the 12 steps of recovery.
the organization denies affiliation with any legal entity; a blatant deception, a lie they tell new ones and each other at each and every meeting.

Bill W. was one of the co-founders of AA.
I've known several who are in AA. They certainly don't annoy me. Many have found success there. I'm sure it's not for everyone, but if it worls for some, I think it's a good thing.

Sorry if this has been brought up already - I haven't read all of the posts.
If you have children with this man and one of them needs a blood transfusion, are you prepared to refuse one? It could mean the child's life, or your life if it is you.
That, to me, is a deal breaker.

Several of my wife's family members are in a group who call themselves the "truth". They started in England in the late 1800's I think.

They believe they are the only true church. Their ministers are called "workers" and they travel together two at a time. Google 2X2 or Cooneyites or go to the above site. They meet in members homes - and do have members worldwide. Very fundamental. Most don't attend university but higher education isn't necessarily condemned.
They associate freely with my wife's family and are friendly. But don't get started on the subject of religion.

I must admit, I sometimes wonder, what IF?

when they came up with this totally ridiculous "overlapping generation" concept, i knew something was wrong.
there are people still alive who lived in 1914 today, they could have stuck to their guns or went with genesis 6:3, "after that jehovah said: my spirit shall not act toward man indefinitely in that he is also flesh.

What would happen if they just came clean and apologized? That they are sorry they mislead people? Admit they were wrong about the "generation" thing, 1914, blood transfusions?
