  hey, where is new light at in the bible or did i miss somethin'.

  all the scriptures i read seems it refers to an enlightening.

  or refer to god as light, it doesn't refer to god as new or changing.

  Even Russell recognised that Noo Lite doctrine, saying that it was like another candle being lit, the light getting brighter, adding to knowledge, not having a previous candle go out.

  So it's just a matter of time til the candles reach a critical mass and set the whole thing on fire, right??

  i know this is a pointless question, but what if this happened:.

  you came home from work one day, sat down, and turned on the tv.

  there is a sudden announcement that the un has banned all religion.

  Most JWs I know hope to die before or during the tribulation so they can wake up in the New System......

  Yknot - I always wondered about this. I mean I sure as hell would hope, if I were a JW, that I died before the big A. I mean that's some shit to go through! I often wonder if this causes any JW to commit suicide, fear of Armageddon.

  Bethel Rules

  Wow, The Mr usually tells me he wants me to go with him to Bethel because it will be the convincer in my turning JW... uh-huh. He's appealling to my "communal farm fantasy" (that oddly enough alot of UU's and Pagans that I know have). He thinks it's a picture of perfect harmony.

  Ah well, can't go, I don't wear dresses... shame.

  I cannot believe the BS that goes on in that place. Sorry for all of you who had to suffer through it.
