I had no idea this was that big! I saw these articles on Facebook this morning. I wonder how widespread this is within the JW community outside of Australia? Any families in the UK or US heard of JWs conversing about this?

by hijosdelawatch ini'm still inside because of family, friends... all my life is there.
i used to have doubts (one year ago) but now i only have certainties about the org.
another reason for staying, at least for now, is i'm living at home with my jw mother and she allowed me to go to college.. i seem to everyone in the congregation a normal witness but when i sit down in the meetings i do know 99% what i listen to is just the same failed prophecies and doctrines repeated always in the same way.. i'm now being "persuaded" to accept my appointed as a ms. though i'm not doing nothing special to get it, i'm serving in a foreign language territory simply because i couldn't hold on with the pressure of my family and elders from my congregation.

I am being slandered in public by a JW
by kurtbethel ina self professed jw has slandered me in the comments section of a youtube video i have posted.. he has called me a "stupid apostate" and accused me of causing violence against jws, both of which are false slanderous lies.. i am not complaining about this as i am thick skinned and know to expect this sort of response from critics when i put my stuff out before the public.
i am sharing this so that everyone can see an example of the sort of hateful behavior recent watchtower articles have spawned.. .

imo pretty much all of the hebrew scriptures are about an angry god who reminds me of an abusive father.

This time of year I feel different

I don't really care about Santa, and don't emphasize it too much with my kids. But I adore holidays because I enjoy decorating my house and the kids get excited and feel "normal" when I do. Gotta love pretty lights!! Santa is just an accessory in my mind.

You could be onto something. Time will tell. sounds like you did a good job of telling them to leave you alone though. You know your wife well, do you think she made a passive attempt to get an emotional reaction out of you with the news of the PO moving and the health stuff? Maybe she wants to know if you still care?
