This little nugget spared me a JC many years back when I fessed up for some naughtiness before I was married. I did this after I was married. Nothing happened to me and they said it was because of this KM...

Elders Can Hide their Own Sins from the Past-Yet Continue as Elders? Read
by flipper ini was shocked ( though i probably shouldn't have been ) when reading the new elders manual concerning whether elders have to confess up about former sins from a few years earlier.
notice this on pg.
38 , paragraph 19 : it states, " if it comes to light or an appointed brother confesses that he has committed a disfellowshipping offense years in the past : the body of elders may determine he can continue to serve if the following is true : the immorality or other serious wrongdoing occured more than a few years ago, and he is genuinely repentant, recognizing that he should have come forward immediately when he sinned.

Reinstated Males Serving as Ass'y Attendants
by doinmypart inat the circuit assembly this weekend i noticed two guys reinstated within the last year were both serving as attendants.
i thought brothers had to be "exemplary" to do that kind of work.
have the requirements changed?

by varian ini must admit, that i love being with youger woman.
i m 44 now, and so far the partners i had, where between 3 and 15 years younger, which i consider okayish.

I think age difference is ok if the couple has a similar maturity factor. BUT, young women in their 20's CHANGE. Especially when they hit their late 20's and early 30's. The chances of a 20something sticking with her older partner would be a challenge. I do not have an issue dating older men. I had a man 20 years older than me very interested in dating me and persisted for months to get me to go out with him, but I could not get over the fact he was only a few years younger than my DAD! I had a good connection with someone who was 16 years older than me. It can happen, but in the long run, don't expect something that is real long lasting.

I went to a KH and there was a young man who had downs, and he was brought in field service. I think that it probably depends on the severity and health of the child. :(

Welcome Cherrypye, Hope you make some good friends here and feel at home. I am curious, being thrown out at 18, what did you do? That is very harsh IMO. Looking forward to hearing your perspective on life.

What Would Bring The Watchtower Down?
by metatron inrandy/dogpatch has posted some interesting material about troubles in the organization.
this info generated a lot of skepticism about the possibility of watchtower fragmentation.
frankly, it is very easy to be skeptical considering everything that ordinary witnesses are willing to believe or put up with.. i think it would be useful to realistically consider what sort of event(s) would bring the watchtower down or cause its fragmentation?

The only thing that I think will put a big dent in the JW's is a sustained, substantial amount of bad press. A big scandal, something that gets notice worldwide or is so interesting that it stays on the minds of people, and so the members are so uncomfortable being associated with it, that they fade out.

I don't eat them either, but I do toast Ezekiel bread and put plain cream cheese on it. Veggie would be good too. The carbs in bagels turn me off, so the Ezekiel bread is great.
