Im an very ex elder and I thought that was done in poor tast. first its not a joke, 2nd if your gonna do it do it right. I was on committees that strived to help maintain the persons dignity and relationship with Jah. Only saw 1 or 2 disfellowshiped in 5 years and thought some repeated offenderes should have been. Since some elders led the individual. Now dont get me wrong cause im fading and didnt agree with the way and order in witch things were done in jc commities and i found that 3 elders were not always in agreement on the order of things. That said sometimes I read the flock book sometimes not depending on the amount of time given. Yet I feel as beeing one of the newer elders i was more prepared and had more scriptures ready to deal with situations than most brothers. Anyway I still feel that spoof was foolish and if your that bored with life there must be something better u might do. Or at least present a jc committee properly with proper language. Thank u.

WT admits Matthew 24 was fulfilled in 1st Century
by digdeeper ini am looking for a watchtower study article from early in 2009. in one of the study articles there was inserted a small information box in which was admisssion that all of matthew 24 was fulfilled in the 1st century...although they did continue with the unscriptural claims of waiting on a greater fullfillment.
anyway does anyone remember the article i speak of or more importantly where i can find a scanned copy of the article?.

Short though the siege was, it was horrible enough, although not being the greatest tribulation that had happened to mankind until that time and could never occur again. The “disgusting thing that causes desolation” did bring about an extermination, according to God’s own decision. The Jewish historian, Flavius Josephus, reports that 1,100,000 Jews were killed or died. But because of ‘cutting short’ the days of that “great tribulation” upon Jerusalem, some Jewish “flesh” was saved. Josephus reports that 97,000 survived and were taken captive and dragged off into Egypt and other Roman provinces. The city and its temple were completely destroyed, just as Jesus had foretold. Thus, in a very literal sense, Jerusalem continued to be “trampled on” by the Gentiles (non-Jewish nations) from the time of the first destruction and desolation of Jerusalem and Judah by the Babylonians in the year 607 B.C.E. But someday those Gentile Times were due to be fulfilled, namely, 2,520 years after their beginning back there in autumn of 607 B.C.E. That means in 1914 C.E.—Luke 21:24. -

by stuckinamovement inthis was the last song of the service meeting this week.
the new version sounds like a death march anthem.
the melody has changed and i think the words have also.. i truly used to like that song and it was one of the first song's i could sing as a kid.

prior to my enlightenment/awakening i was very active and an elder that spread the love to the congragation.. their has been very little shepparding by the elders witch im glad about, however 2 month goning on 3 i'v put 0 hours in service and reported 0. the memorial is comming up.

by life is to short inok i was just blown away when i heard this today while driving, at first i thought it was the some old same old but then it went on and it seems like it is on a different level.. the subheading is "guard your heart by exercising self-control.
on page 27 par 17 it says "one way a person could wonder into the foolish course of the "young man in want of heart" is by aimlessly flipping though television channels or surfing the internet.
whether intentionally or not, he might chance upon sexually stimulating scenes.

i thought it was important to understand the meaning of words to better comprehend the lesson.
i liked that the writers would throw out words which were not commonly used to help us expand our vocabularies.

my statement is about truth not defending a person or their actions or beliefs. It is true much of the time words and the way we put them together cannot always convey what we mean in our heart and that others for whatever reason may not understand what we thought we were communicating. Good thing manny are conscious to the fact that not to much is really important except necessities of life and the way we care for other human-being.

So give me please some suggestions on how a very active ex elder can respond to the type of questions u know ill be asked. I have no beef with anyone in my congregation including the elders It with the Leadership. I believe we have some here that can understand me. Just looking for some suggestions please and thank you in advance.

first when I was on the regional building committee, we were told that not only building for the future but restoring older kingdom halls was the way to go. Why because jehovah's buildings will be used to teach and that since we dont know the day and hour even though its any minut now, we will continue. It makes sence that Jah would preserve his belonging. Therefore anything that is said cant trump these statements because most rank and file believe and or obey GB.
