  two overlapping generations of anointed blah blah blah question

  i read the watchtower article on this "new light.

  " has any information on how "this generation" turned into two overlapping generations of only anointed people been printed?

  the word "evidence" was thrown around a lot in the article, but none was provided unless something has been printed since then and i have missed it.

  wizzstick- good find! 4 generations over a 110 year period not 1 generation overlapping in two groups over 100 years. Their use of Exodus 1:6 is a fail.

  If the Awake! came out with an article that the moon IS made of cheese most jws would accept it. My jw brother would be the first one to use that issue in fs showing everyone the moon is made of cheese! After all, scientist are just imperfect humans decieved by the devil, wheras Jehovah CREATED the moon, so if his organization says the moon is made out of cheese, it really is!

  I'm sure that is how my brother would reason on it!

  Declining membership but building new Kingdom Hall in Stockbridge Georgia

  i hear that the stockbridge/henry county, georgia area has 30 fewer members.

  the co has asked for special "reaching out" to those who are not attending.

  at the same time, it is reported that these congregations in this area are growing fast.

  I noticed on the list of congregations at jw.org that 3 congregations in my area are missing. In my town there were two English speaking congregations when I left, now there is only one.

  In the neighboring town there were two congregations, now none are listed there.

  Witnesses are never seen going door to door in our area.

  I guess there is so much increase taking place that the local publishers no longer have to go door to door!

  What book do they study with ''newly interested ones'' ?

  Remember when we used to have to conduct a 1-hour Bible Study with someone for at least 3 times each month to count it as a bible study?

  Now a 10-15 minute door step rv using the back page of the public w is considered a bible study.

  Of the 9 million studies they now report, I wonder how many are the 1-hour 3 times each month studies?

  Is it too far fetched to think that future yearbooks will feature biographies of Gb members instead of the history of the witnesses in different countries each year?

  Perhaps a new 32 page monthly magazine: GB, with features on different GB members each issue, to be distributed door to door!

  New books will be about the GB members and their life stories!

  Framed portraits of each gb member will be provided to each KH to be prominatly displayed.

  Visitors to Bethel , especially the new world headquarters in Warwick, will see the gb prominently featured in displays and videos.

  A new 32- page brochure entitled: "The Governing Body- Who Are They? What do they do? Why honor and obey them?" will be released at the DC in over 1,000 languages and a special campagn to distribute them door to door will be announced!

  Each issue of both editions of the w will feature an article about a gb member each month.

  I'm sure the GB would love this.

  GB 1.0 were content to stay in the background.

  Will Child Molestation Lawsuits Against The Watchtower Corporation Make It Claim Bankruptcy?

  we all know sales are dropping in money recieved from printing literature and that it must have been a money drain for quite some time now at least from the time they went to a completely free literature offer to avoid paying ceaser's things to ceaser, so that now the next big finacial move is thru real estate flipping and capitalizing of the jw work force thru slave labor working conditions.. could these lawsuits bring them to the breaking point finacially i know there are a lot of nay sayers among us, but what say you and what is your gut feeling on this one?.

  It would appear they are well in control of their assests.

  But what are they DOING with all of their billions? They keep cutting back on the printing budget, closing branches and downsizing- why are they doing this when they have so much money?

  I wonder if the wts could have problems with embezelment. Is it possible some in charge of the funds could be getting away with stealing money from the society on a regular basis?

  We would not be told of this of course, as 'brothers' never steal (lol), but is it possible it has been happening?

  I doubt the wts will ever need to file for bankruptcy, nor would any lawsuits be enough to do any major damage.

  But could mishandling of the assets, or actual embelzelment of monies be taking place? Perhaps the wts could be vulnerable to that.

  But maybe you should be glad he is being such an a-hole to your family. If you wanted to get your whole family out of the wt cult this ms jerk just might do that for you!

  Uk bethel "university campus but nicer"

  new essex bethel plans include.... "its accommodation, predominantly for young members, would resemble a university campus but "nicer".

  erghhhh..... don't become a lawyer or an engineer, a doctor or a nurse or a teacher.... come spend 3 years working for us at our factory for free.
