i’m in australia.

i’ve just woken up… i’m disfellowshipped and finding it hard without family although i do have one sister who isn’t interested in the truth, so that’s good… at least i can talk to her.

I don't see believers needing to summon Jesus to do what He says He will do. This is gospel and Christians are united in believing what Jesus says and accomplished. I was listening this morning, to a wonderful rendition of, "My Faith Has Found a Resting Place"; the chorus of which goes like this.

I need no other argument

I need no other plea,

It is enough that Jesus died,

And that He died for me.

Now i understand why you don't believe that Jesus can be in two places at once- in the heart of all believers and guiding their fellowship whenever they meet together in His name....and that's because you don't believe He exists.

Does anyone know why the quote function doesnt always work?

or perhaps i'm doing something wrong?

oftentimes if i try to quote someone so that it's highlighted in yellow, after i submit my comments, the quote remains but my comments are gone.

I find the best way to use the quote function is after you complete your post. Then go to the quoted parts, highlight them and then click on the quote function. That way you will not lose anything.

i know who won't be saved according to witnesses and that includes just about everyone alive at armageddon who is not a jehovah’s witness.

Did we not travel land and sea to make one disciple? Did we not tithe, did we not warn the sinners to repent? Did we not start many Bible Studies? We did many wonderful works. OK we did not establish any orphanages and such because we had a more important task of making Jehovah’s name known among the nations.

Jesus will reply, "Don't you know what makes my Father's name known?" You counted on your works to save yourselves...as if I owed you salvation for your efforts. If you had loved me, you would have built orphanages, you would have rescued widows and the homeless..... These are the things that my sheep do becsause they love me and follow me...not to save themselves but because I live in them and express my love through them.

My sheep know that it is only by grace that they are saved, forgiven and promised eternal life. Salvation is not by works of righteousness that they have done, but by my mercy alone through the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost which I have shed upon them abundantly.

What other alternatives for the meaning of Babylon the Great ?

i thought the reasoning sound as to the wt explaination of babylon the great, ( world empire of false religion ) but have any of you knowledge of other plausible explainations?

or knowledge of other sources that are in agreement with wt?

I believe Babylon is the great city where Christ was crucified which presupposes an early date for the writing of Revelation.

Conditions of Watchtower Baptism

i understand that there are 80 to 100 questions that would-be witnesses must answer correctly before they can be considered eligible for "christian baptism".

however i have noticed that none of the questions relate to the 607destruction, the 1914 invisible presence and enthronement, or even the 1919 appointment of the faithful slave.. now some may feel my question is ridiculous, but bear with me.. will jehovah's witnesses baptize someone who answers all 100 questions satisfactorily, but rejects 607, 1914 and 1919 and the events the watchtower associates with these dates if they agree not to express their rejection to others?.

Excellent points Blue and Joao. I believe some serious Theocratic warfare is going on.... not only because of the claim that their chronology is not doctrine, but that any elder would recommend baptism to someone who rejects the definition of the Faithful Slave.

Yes great additions. Of course we know that 8:million Jehovah's Witnesses would fail to answer those questions in the affirmative.
