  the wt engages in history revisionism when insisting the world changed overnight in 1914. in fact the european power struggles that came to a head were centuries old.

  millions of lives had been lost in the wars of the 19th century, with the world a powder keg the years prior to the assassination of franz ferdinand in june 1914 which is often said, albeit rather arbitrarily, as the start of the war that escalated over the next 4 years into the great war.

  take a look at these two pages and ask if the wt's interpretation of history seems accurate to you.

  Yes, and it wasn't till the early 1930s that they taught the new date for Christ's parousia was 1914. Until then you couldn't be a consecrated Christian if you did not believe Christ's advent did not occur in 1874.

  i would have to say yes...by tagging god's alledged name in their title and attaching to it unusual doctrines, end of world date predictions, deadly blood interpretation, abusive shunning policy, csa cover ups.. is there more?.

  There are only two rules when it comes to Watchtower doctrine.

  1. The Watchtower teaches the truth.

  2. When the Watchtower is mistaken, refer to rule numer one.

  That's why, no matter what, Watchtower religion is always "the truth"....always was and always will be. Those who put their trust in the Faithful Slave in New York will be saved from eternal destruction. And you will see for yourself, mark the words of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses, "Those who trust us because Jesus trusts us, will be the only ones who survive Armageddon."

  “We received a letter that said Jehovah’s Witnesses would no longer receive certain state benefits that are provided to ALL registered religions” - TM3.

  Shouldn’t WT be celebrating when things like this happen? It establishes them as different from other religions right? From all the years I spent as a jw, I know for a fact that this is what was taught to me week in and week out. The publishers are supposed to be happy when Satan attacks them personally and they shouldn’t fight back. So why is this such a big deal for the organization? Why can’t they just sit back, do nothing, and wait on Jehovah like they're always telling the rank and file to do?

  It’s not like they’re being prevented from worshipping or anything. Last I checked they can still go preaching and go to the meetings.

  Oh that’s right, because money is involved. And lots of it. I remember someone famously said religion is a snare and a racket. In the words of Michael Scott “how the tables turn…”

  It is clear that the brothers taking the lead in Warwick are humble enough to see their mistakes and correct them. What other organization on earth has the humility to change when greater knowledge is revealed by the Spirit? This is why you need to be in touch with God’s sole visible organization in earth if to want to attain to true knowledge of eternal life and survive Armageddon which is fast approaching.

  Hi Again Sandie,

  I take it that you are an evangelical Christian. You won't get into a JW forum for debate if that's what you are after. I've tried. The key criteria is that you accept the faithful slave and Jehovah's visible organization for that to happen.

  But there are active JWs marking time on this forum such as Scholar and Fisherman. So stick around, there is hope yet for dialog with people who believe the Bible and are convinced that they alone are Christians and as such have a scriptural hope of surviving Armageddon.
