It seems to me that if modern man emerged 300,000 years ago, we would have some written evidence of that fact dating well beyond 6000 years.

Homo sapiens, the first modern humans, evolved from their early hominid predecessors between 200,000 and 300,000 years ago. ...... The first modern humans began moving outside of Africa starting about 70,000-100,000 years ago.
Decades vs a millennium - seems like quite a stretch if intelligent man has been here a hundred thousand years. The gospels were written within the lifetime of the Apostles.

Why do you think human beings did not start recording history before the 6000 year mark? Anyone have a theory about that?

Well what other religious beliefs or practices might state legislation prohibit? I remember the flap created by bill C16 regarding the use of preferred pronouns.
I believe that an appeal will overturn the current verdict on the basis of freedom of association rights.
However, the state has the right to remove tax exempt status from any church institution and perhaps they might consider that option.
