30th anniversary of the free minds journal.
sunday, 13 march 2011 22:09well my friend chaton and i just finished sealing the last envelope of the 30th anniversary issue of the free minds journal.
i guess it must be one of the longest cult-related journals running.
Thanks Randy... I can't wait to get a copy... You've probably helped a lot more people than you'll ever know...
congratulations!
id like to first clarify that i am not a conspiracy theorist by any stretch of the imagination.
however, i couldnt resist connecting the dots on some research ive been doing recently about watchtower spin-off corporations.
one such corporation that caught my attention is located just a few blocks away from the wtbts headquarters in brooklyn, quite possibly in a back room at the st george hotel on 100 henry street.
6 of 9... I expected this kind of comment... thanks...
but to answer your question... I'm really not drawing any conclusions here...
I don't think they'll be a world war anytime soon and I don't think JWs will be the only survivors... I think it's plainly obvious that this is merely an exaggerated question intended to spark curiousity...
anyone else care to take a stab at me? all insults are most welcome... (I'll check back later)

I’d like to first clarify that I am NOT a conspiracy theorist by any stretch of the imagination. However, I couldn’t resist connecting the dots on some research I’ve been doing recently about Watchtower “spin-off” corporations. One such corporation that caught my attention is located just a few blocks away from the WTBTS headquarters in Brooklyn, quite possibly in a back room at the St George Hotel on 100 Henry Street. This corporation is currently owned by a powerful Jewish family who apprently attempted to dabble in bio-fuels back in 2007 but has since abandoned those plans to pursue other business ventures. It is currently called “Watchtower, Inc.” and was originally registered in the state of Nevada but it is currently just a “shell” because it has no employees and no operating revenues. It’s interesting, however, that one of the two owners of the corporation (Sholom Drizin) is apparently a patent owner for a new oxygen-generating device which converts water into breathable oxygen. I will continue to dig into this as I don’t have all the facts but this begs the question: “Is the Society gearing up for a world war in which the only survivors will be JWs toting oxygen-generating devices?” If I’m wrong about all of this, so be it… you can all gang up on me if you like... but this is really hard to ignore. Has anyone else come across this?
after watching news casts on the queensland floods and cyclone, the christchurch earthquake and japan's earthquake and tsunami..... when these reporters go to these areas, do they bring their own food and water?
surely they don't expect to be looked after at these afflicted places?.
does anyone know?.
Some bring along military style RTEs (ready-to-eat) packages... But they're usually taken care of... for example, when I went to Haiti weeks after the earth quake, there were news crews staying at guest houses and the one hotel that didn't suffer too much damage. Some were camped out at the airport surrounded by military from different countries, mainly the US army... but they usually know who to contact right away and there's always someone meeting them upon arrival...
the watchtower channel is ebbing.
one sister told me that the change in the number of meeting days from three days to two days is because of a shortage of funds needed to pay for utilities.
in this economy and the waning of finances the kingdom hall attendees can look forward to meeting once a week in the future.. .
Misery wrote the following (about the "Shake Weight"):
"The men are too busy looking at the hot woman on the screen with a phallic excercise device bouncing back and forth just underneath her chin. Just like that he's hooked, and he may even convince his slightly chunky wife that this device is just what she needs to lose post kid #2 fat around her hips."
Misery, I think you're on to something here... I really do... it's basically a subliminal marketing technique...

speaking hypothetically, a elder can not except the logic on the.
new understanding of the doctrine change (over lapping generation).. he voice his concern to his wife, she being a good jw , tell the elders.. the brother have not spoke to anyone in the cong.
about his doubt.. the elders question him, he remains firm, he tell the brothers, i have.

You're so right... Discretion among elders is nearly non-existent and totally non-existent among elders' wives... After the same old grind, following the same old agenda, a lot of elders actually get the urge to break up the monotony in their lives by uttering confidential congo info to their wives or close friends. This is why nothing, I mean nothing can be kept secret in any congregation for more than a week.
i received a phone call from my mother (who is still a jw, but very accepting of me still as her loving son, even though i was disfellowshiped for questioning the oranization and choosing the bible over the watchtower at that time).
she makes normal talk, just regular stuff pertaining to situations of ours.
about me coming to visit, and or her coming.

Simply put, we ALL have way too many sins, which is why Jesus died for us all... so don't sweat it. Besides, between you and your brother, only one of you had sufficient sense and foresight to realize this is a family-destroying cult... That being said, I'd say you're way ahead of your brother in this complicated game called life... so you shouldn't get caught up in all this BS and you certainly shouldn't care what JWs think about you... at the end of the day, only God's opinion matters... that's my 2 cents... good luck
nothing feeds a starving person quite like a watchtower.. .
Leolaia... excellent post thanks!
