Speaking hypothetically, A elder can not except the logic on the

new understanding of the doctrine change (over lapping generation).

He voice his concern to his wife, she being A good JW , tell the Elders.

The brother have not spoke to anyone in the cong. about his doubt.

The elders question him, he remains firm, he tell the Brothers, I have

not question the society teaching in the past but this new change

I can not except. OK questions.

    A) what grounds could it be DF (remerber he only voice his concern

    to his wife)?

    B) If he is DF, when the letter is read about is DF, what will they

    announce. (conduct unbefitting A Christian)?

    C) The letter that is sent too HQ, what reason will be given

    for his DF?

    D) Can one be DF for doubt?

As far as I know the all important question is If one accepts wts as God's directed organization. No, results in DF.

One can have doubts as long as one doesn't spread the doubts which might cause divisions and elders when find out will talk to the individual to stop the spread of these doubts. If persistant in talking about the doubt, elders would most likely df on the grounds of causing divisions/apostasy.

To answer question "B", they never announce what a person did. They haven't done that for decades.

The announcement, "Insert-Name-Here is no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses" is given for someone who sends in a DA letter, someone who gets DFd for running a brothel, someone who goes on a killing spree, someone who commits adultery, someone who can't quit smoking, someone addicted to porn...you name it. It is the same announcement.

The way the congregation gets an inkling of what is going on is that within a few weeks there will be a "local needs" part that will usually address the particular "sin" of the DF'd or DA'd person. Also, many times the elders on the committee will blab to their wifes and close buddies about what happened, making them promise not to tell anyone. Of course, they tell everyone.

If a person no longer accepts the WT as an accurate source of information about God. He is disassociated. This is just basic idolatry. Jehovah's Witnesses never did know God. They know the org who claims to know God.

Diamondiiz; I ask those question because it seems to me it,s

A witch hunt taking place.. Years ago 95% of the juridical cases

were moral reasons (adultery, smoking etc.). Today those numbers

have change, Apostasy percentages have increased. Curious too

know what percentage of JW,s are DF for apostasy vs Moral reasons.

If the actual text of the elders handbook is followed, a person must be "Spreading (stubbornly hold to and speak about) teachings contrary to Bible Truth as taught by Jehovah's Witnesses" to be guilty of apostasy. However, I have read plenty of experiences on here about people who only raised the point with elders in response to their questions, but judged guilty of Apostasy.

It seems to be a regional thing. I am sure that over here most B of E are content with a "don't ask, don't tell" policy. At least, nobody has ever investigated me and I am well known to them.

As for advising Bethel of the reason for the d/f.. I dare say the one word "apostasy" would suffice

You're so right... Discretion among elders is nearly non-existent and totally non-existent among elders' wives... After the same old grind, following the same old agenda, a lot of elders actually get the urge to break up the monotony in their lives by uttering confidential congo info to their wives or close friends. This is why nothing, I mean nothing can be kept secret in any congregation for more than a week.

    Deliberately spreading teachings contrary
to Bible truth as taugbt by Jebovab's Witnesses:

    (Acts 21 :21, ftn.; 2 John 7, 9, 10)

Any with sincere doubts should be helped. Firm,
loving counsel should be given. (2 Tim. 2:16-19,
23-26; Jude 22, 23) lf one obstinately is speaking
    about
    or deliberatly spreading false teachings,
this may be or may lead to apostasy. If there is
no response after a first and a second admonition,
a judicial committee should be formed.
    -Titus 3:10,11; w891O/1 p. 19; w86 4/1 pp. 30-
    31; w86 3/15 p. 15.

If you have doubts but don't talk to others about then no JC is formed and so no DF ?

If you don't talk about them, how would the elders ever know?
