Elders w/kids that are removed
by TweetieBird inreading metatron's post about the inner circle made me think about some of the congregations that i have been in and the elder body.
i think the inner circle mentality applies also to elders with children.
i remember being in a hall where elder a's child got into some wrongdoing.

The real stupidity here is that there are even elders meetings held behind closed doors, and one year rules, 3 year rules, 2 or more dFd children rules.
Every one of there rules are man-made, and man imposed. Jesus doesn't have anything to do with man-made rules or the men that make them. -

the instructer mentioned how "secret sins" could affect the spirit of the congregation.
when the subject of masturbation was"handled", a brother decided to put his hand up to "confess".this was obviously not meant to be a question and answer discussion, but the co called on the elder.

It doesnt say anything about masturbation.
Know-You when you get old enough to have sex with someone, besides yourself, you might understand what went on in that bed. Tamar was there. He went in to her shared a bed with her.
He was killed for not providing her with a child.
Jehovah doesnt kill people for masturbating. But he has promised to put an end to people who try to impose their personal views on Jesus sheep.

Are witnesses any better?

misguided, sure, but overall, decent people.. what i want are opinions on how good they actually are.
for example, i went to a non-denonimational church recently.

The one thing, men and women of all cultures share in common, is the desire for STATUS. People will lie, cheat, steal, murder and sell their children into slavery for 3 generations to be the most important person in their group. If you doubt it read the history of the Potlatch in British Columbia, or the rituals of any other culture.
Jehovahs Witnesses may, for various reasons, particularly fear of loss of status, avoid openly fornicating.
Striving to be the most important person in the group is an entirely different matter. Selling their children into slavery (Bethel Service or Pioneering) is just the beginning. Driving half a day to give an hour talk while they live is squalor and hide from their bill collectors is not unusual.
Greed is where they really standout. You know the kind of greed that comes with knowing one is tight with God, so it is ok to cheat the people Jehovah is going to kill anyway

Many men became Elders out of good motive and then left the organization after they knew it was wrong and could not be fixed, but it is my experience that the ones that are still in are the most greedy and dishonest status seeking demigods on the planet. They do the same thing Satin did in the garden when he decided to steal the status that belongs to Jehovah.
The good news is they all get to stand before Jesus when he comes with all his angels. Right along with me and you.

Talk by a Branch Overseer
by Defender ina branch overseer of an asian country who happened to be visiting some of his family members in our area, gave a talk this evening in the hall that i used to attend.
i have not been attending meetings for months, but decided to go when my mother, a devout jw, came to visit me last week.
the branch overseer had just returned from attending the annual meeting in new york.

Did you happen to check and notice that the bible doesn't even mention Xmas. Now beings Jehovah is the inventor of, and master user of, speech and language, if he didn't want you to celebrate it he would have at least mentioned it.
Christmas falls into the same zone as your nasty little masterbation habit. Jehovah never mentioned it so no one else should either..So if you chose to not celebrate Christmas thats your business.
If you chose to continue masterbating that is your business.When you claim to speak for Jehovah, and make rules in his name, you need to be carefull because then it becomes Jehovah's business
