Hey Beks, I'm a Brit living in Italy...south of Naples. Anything you want to know, just ask. I can recommend Florence, Rome...and maybe Naples if you're a little adventurous. Better still, skip Naples and spend a couple of days in Sorrento. It's close enough to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Paestum etc if you like history. As for Capri, let's just say they put the 'r' in the wrong place when they spelled it. Driving is okay, as long as you quickly adjust to being aggressive and forthright. The trains can be hit and miss. Many's the time I've gotten on the wrong train and ended up in the arse -end of nowhere. (along with several other disgruntled Italians who heard the same tannoy message). Greece is nice. I can recommend a nice little island called Aegina, just off the coast of Athens (only a short boat ride away). Corinth was a bit crap. If you're driving from Italy to Greece, you may find that you want to stay along the way in Croatia, which is gorgeous.

Since Some Were Asking About The Vast Apostate Army...

hey everyone, a couple people were asking about the november 5th, 2017 reference in the last hitler as the leader of the watchtower parody video so i figured i'd swing by and post a link to the latest recruitment video for the vast apostate army.. all my other videos are for my daughter and to help her if she ever questions religion (or jws specifically), this one however is for me.

i always get a really big grin on my face when dustin talks about the vast apostate army and i really just want to set him off for a few videos.

Guys? What happened to the Vast Apostate Army?!? On Facebook there's only a measly 192 members! This sucks! Kinda makes you feel like Nelson H. Barbour sometimes...

We need to start street witnessing outside Kingdom Halls on meeting nights... buy a printing press....maybe invest in some miracle wheat...

I think it's do-able. If I'm honest, my last couple of years that I attended, I kinda had the mindset of Tim Robbins' character in 'Shawshank Redemption'. I was there, but my mind was elsewhere, in a happy place.... plotting what I'd do once I'd escaped...

We used to have a sister who answered at every Watchtower meeting, and, I shit you not, she used to read the whole paragraph word for word, every time consistently. I was on microphones, so I'd see she underlined the whole paragraph. Looking back, I suppose she was doing the same....kinda on auto-pilot...not really thinking. Then again, that's what the WTS wants...mindless automatons...

You can download it on bittorrent, on maybe isohunt.com, demonoid or eztv.it. I know for definite I've seen it for download.

Scientologists are just J-Dubs wiv cash. There's a funny youtube clip from the first Panorama programme from 3 years ago I think. The guy who is the investigative journalist (John Sargeant) actually has a brain embolism on camera at the head Scientology honcho. It's well funny.

Did You Aspire To Be An Elder Or Did You Want A Relative or Friend To Be One?

if you were a male growing up in the congregation, it was expected that you would "reach out" for a position in the hall.

some of us did just that and others didn't want any "privileges"!.

i knew some people, especially "sisters", that really wanted their relative or good friend to be appointed so they might "change things".

Never wanted to be an Elder or a Miserable Serpent. I could see all the favouritism and nepotism and cheesy falseness of it all. They were oiling me up to be a MS, dumping loads of responsibilities on me that nobody else wanted to do... I think they're called 'privileges'. WatchTower reader, Book Room guy, coach captain etc. I really hated the way they all looked at you differently once you started doing stuff. I used to think 'I haven't changed, I'm still the same person you knew 5 years ago, so why the false flattery and invites to dinner all of a sudden?' I think once I became trusted by the elders, I started to become privy to a lot of the shenanigans that went on. By then I definitely would've turned down a promotion. I naturally turn away from flattery and attention, and all I could see at the end was the bullsheeet facade, the true face of the organization. I started to fade and just to make sure, I emigrated to another country.

I have noticed that some of my friends who were made into elders and MS's, have turned into jumped- up little napoleons with a very high opinion of themselves. The change is miraculous... previously likeable, humble and unassuming blokes turned into the biggest Twats imaginable. I just thank Jebus that I really dodged a bullet there...

Hey SBC, love how you're stickin' it to them. If you really want to follow through with this, then a good option for you is to buy a bugging device, or a micro video camera. Do a search on the net (maybe even Ebay) for a pen which clips into your pocket, with the camera being in the top of the clipper part. It's absolutely minute... tinier than an elder's I.Q! They've been out for a couple of years, and are used by private investigators, and secret services etc.

( I understand totally your reasons for doing this, but believe me, after a year of self-deprogramming, I think you'll just have the attitude 'what the hell...' Personally, I'm in the process of trying to help my family out, but by god, they've got stiff necks! )

Let's hope that in a couple of months time, we'll all be able to watch it in video form on YouTube!

Have you ever had " a moment of clarity"?

a true moment of clarity is not something you live once.

My moment of clarity came when my little dog (15 years old) fell down a flight of stairs and broke his back. While I cradled him as he lay dying I sobbed my heart out as I had never done before, (not even at my father's funeral). It was then that it suddenly occurred to me that god didn't exist. If I simply couldn't bear to watch the suffering of this insignificant animal, then how can Jehovah passively sit and watch this s**t-storm we call life, with all of the unbearable suffering that goes on daily. I don't have kids (a sacrifice for Jehovah that I made), so this was a big deal for me. I think I maybe attended about 3 meetings after this, then just gave it all up. I'm 7 years clean.

Another moment of clarity was recently when I was browsing the net for 'interesting' stuff, and came across a video made by Richard Dawkins, where they do an autopsy on a Giraffe, to demonstrate how long its' Laryngeal nerve is. About 15 feet long, when it needed to be only about a couple of inches. (It travels from the brain, down the neck, wraps round the heart and comes back up to the throat. NOT intelligent design). I remember just sitting there, open-mouthed...rueing how dumb I had been for 20-odd years never questioning any of the drivel that comes out of the watchtower's mouth. This generation just don't know how lucky they are to have the internet, and be able to question everything and get solid answers.
