The Fall Guy we may disagree on this or that but the following rings true:
"The self-proclaimed "faithful slave" is pushing their little Armageddon boat out yet again. Only to sink again!"
Well said!

just wait until this is done!
excitedly awaiting the deaths of potentially millions, to get their log cabin by a lake and a tiger is reprehensible!
disgusting!
every single member of the worldwide order of special full-time servants of jehovah’s witnesses (yb16 p. 176 2015 grand totals) – which includes all of the governing body, all bethelites, every jw missionary, every circuit overseer, and all special pioneers – are worse than people without* faith!
because they have all signed a vow of poverty which renders them as parasites, living off other people's earnings.
where in the bible is that a “principle”?
Or am I genuinely missing something?
Exactly who/what paid for your room & board and gave you your $14 dollars per month? Donations, charity. You were living off others for your accommodation and meals. That's the truth.
Bethelites did take a vow of poverty. Pioneers and Elder's did not and do not take a vow of Poverty.
Since you didn't read my post I was not at Bethel so I got nothing. If you understood Bethel life they worked 5 1/2 days a week for that 14$ a month. I don't know what its up to now ?
Your spinning some Ann Rand bullshit. Your just reusing some crappy political conservative idea that people should not contribute to the religion of their choice or the country of their choice. Or any charity they feel strongly about.
People take their money and decide how and what they will spend it on.
No JW I ever worked with asked for a couple of bucks from a householder or begged for anything.
In the JW world believers shared a little of their money to further the work.
I and thousands of pioneers earned our daily bread...... there were no handouts to pioneers by people who could barely pay their bills. There were no handouts to Bethelites. Those people worked for basically nothing in pay. Free food and board? It was available at homeless shelters around the corner from Bethel.
The reality is that the Society...... the shit heads they were...... was self funded by contributions by followers that believed in the religion. And funds from their publishing company.
The shit heads AT the top of the food change got the perks.
The hardest working apostle (Paul) never expected anyone to support him when he was witnessing. He worked to pay his own way in life.
That's bullshit. When Jesus started his ministry did he ever work a day again as a carpenter? Probably not.
Paul may have set up his tent work when he was running out of money..... but he was too busy writing letters to the faithful and visiting countries by boat which were on the Roman trade routes. How did he manage to pay for that?
Like Jesus...... people who liked his message probably put some coin in his hand.

Why? Because they have all signed a vow of poverty which renders them as parasites, living off other people's earnings.
Only a dumb shit would come to that conclusion. Maybe that happens in England and other countries but not in the USA. Maybe the special pioneers signed a vow of Poverty but us regular Pioneers were on our own. We worked side jobs so we could buy food.
Being in Bethel in the late 1950's to 1960's meant only board and room. In return Bethel provided an allowance of $14 a month. That's right $14 freaking dollars a month just about enough to ride the subway three times a week to get to your appointed congregation.
The $14 a month was for a Five and a Half day WEEK....... 4 weeks a month. Let me break it down for you, this was hard labor and their pay was basically 30 cents an hour. So I don't know what the fuck your talking about.
Everybody worked. Be it Bethel, the missionaries, pioneers, circuit servants and everybody who served in the congregations.
No one of that class was abusing any tax payer or community funding. It was up to them to go it alone. I was one of those people 100 to 150 hours in service scrambling to find.....any...... by the hour..... job.... so I could buy a few cans of food and instant coffee.
As always idiot opinions make up their own fiction.
i am no longer one of jehovah's witnesses, but i can remember the excellent talks given by the above frank sartin, an elder and i think at one time a zone overseer in the lancashire area of the uk.
upon doing some research i read that he died back in 2015. .
does anyone else remember him?.
Welcome SBlackwell.
Many brothers had the 'gift' of speaking. They could draw you in with their personalized talking style making it feel that they are just talking to you.
There were brothers I really grew to like during my formative years from 12 to 18. Brothers in arms....... that sort of thing.
But like a number of JW characteristics it was more an act or set piece. When the first insurmountable doubts began to show up in your speech or ideas or review of known history....... these buddies..... pillars of love and encouragement...... just melted away.
My wife and I pioneered where the need was great for three years. I gave talks all over the circuit, held three congregation positions (No Elders in those days).
We even helped finance a proper KH instead of the store front KH.
When we decided to leave and get some job training that was the last we heard from the congregation. It was as if we no longer existed.
Well we did just fine on our own but what we really learned was that there was no acceptance for any out of the box thinking.
My close friend for three years, the presiding minister of the congregation, went silent after we left. The time we provided a loan to save his home, the talks I gave like 30 in the first year alone, using my own dimes to make a 100 mile round trip to give a public talk. The 100 hours of service per month I gave, the bible studies and literature placement that kept the Circuit servant off his back was all for nothing relationship wise.
This was the JW way to treat ex JW's. People like us that just stopped believing, went our own way. It never mattered that the original belief system of the JW had to be subjected to constant new light.
It was about obedience not faith.
hi, my father is a jehovah's witness.
my sister wanted to do something nice for him and decided to have a shirt made with the ship he was on when he was in the navy many years ago.
he was not in the war, but he said that he can't wear it because jehovah's witnesses don't believe in war.
It's all made up in the JW world. Your father is simply saying what the WT has promoted.
Have your sister or you donate the shirt where veterans gather....maybe it could be auctioned off....maybe a veteran can identify with the shirt and wear it with pride.
Apparently you and your sister haven't looked into the destructive nature of being a JW.
Google Rutherford's (The 2nd Watchtower President) letter to Hitler when he wanted to get the JW printing presses released. His stupidity caused at least 500 JW's to die. But hey no real loss cause there will be a resurrection for loyal JW's.
hey!.
first of all i want to mention that i'm not a member of the jehovahs witnesses.
however i'm open and non-judgemental towards any kind of religion.
"First of all I want to mention that I'm not a member of the jehovahs witnesses. However I'm open and non-judgmental towards any kind of religion."
That's nice but it's a flawed reaction. Your trying to be fair but you are wrong....evil is evil.
Where there is no good to be found you are looking at evil.
What would you say about the Jonestown massacre? Where over 900 religious Americans drank or were compelled to drink at gun point.... fruit juice laced with poison.
Google photographs of Jonestown to see how evil and corrupt a religion can be. Over 300 hundred innocent children died that night wrapped in the arms of their parents. Who thought or were compelled to carry out the wishes for a deranged religious nut case.
Every year well over a 1,000 JW's die for refusing a life saving blood transfusion.
Understand this....please....the evil mankind has done is usually abetted by religion or politics
Do you understand how evil the Catholic Church was when they set out to torture and kill anyone who was not a believing Catholic during the inquisition? If they didn't submit to the ignorance of this church they died...... often burned at the stake.
If a JW doesn't submit to it's Governing Body they die as shunned ex members. Losing family and standing in their JW community.
Because the bible says not to eat blood in the old testament. This from a god that just drowned every man women and child including the unborn. God turns out to be an abortionist.
Get past evolution taught by a JW teacher and ask him to explain why 1,000s of JW followers died needlessly for want of a blood transfusion every year. If he says we can't 'eat blood...he's a sham.
Your job at your age is to reject the bullshit of a religiously dominated teacher and look for the truth. If he's a believing JW don't trust him and don't be alone with him. The JW's have a huge pedophile problem because they support the 'Two Witness Rule" before their congregation can act.
Thank you for bringing your question to us. We have a thousand years of experience plus on this forum when it comes to knowing this religion.
Sorry to go dark on you but it is often a life or death situation. My wife and I lost two close JW's family members who refused a blood transfusion. We are not alone dealing with this.
i am curious can a single jw sister get a breast augmentation?
will the elders disfellowship her?
will jehovah be angry with her or upset?
Lets understand this about the WTBTS...little to no advanced education on anything medically. On anything at all! According to the pew survey the dumbest religion of all.
Cosmetic surgery covers many issues. If some one wants breast enhancement so be it. But as a witnesses it doesn't pay to flaunt big new boobies at the kingdom hall .
JW's are ignorant and only listen to the WTBTS and the circuit overseer.
They have no room to discover what they really need in real life.
I am not a fan of artificial boobies but whatever a person feels they need ....so be it.
Let me put this another way.... Jehovah (A made up ass wipe name) is too busy blowing up Solar Systems with Black Holes to worry about enhanced titties.
today all jw's in holland are informed that all meetings, the preaching work and the circuits are halted / closed because of sars-covid-19 / "corona".
first till march, 30 and then maybe longer.. the first time that the jw work in holland completely stopped.
the memorial will be held only for jw's.
The WTBTS is a corporation that has a history of being reckless with the health and welfare of it's followers.
It paid no lip service for anyone who died for want of a life saving blood transfusion. They never apologized for declaring transplants cannibalism for over a decade.
They never apologized for declaring 1975 as the end of this old world. Just blamed it on those who believed the Society had it right....not.
My rule of thumb is anything the Society calls new light or the ultimate truth isn't. Do not attend a memorial because the Society deflects who and what Jesus was and what he had to say. This is a soulless corporation event. It's purpose is to count numbers.
So if I understand this latest piece of bullshit they don't want the public to attend......... just kill off those crazy JW's who think heaven is their final destination.
Stay home people and pray if you must, sip a glass of wine and nibble a cracker. There is no point in attending a JW event that is meaningless.
with the coronavirus now categorized as a global pandemic and many large gatherings are now social distancing for safety concerns of contacting and spreading the virus.. will the memorial of christ death take place on april 7 2020 worldwide where thousands will gaether in large crowds to commemorate the death of jesus as commanded in the bible.
jesus gave the command to keep doing this in remembrance of him or will sound, reasonableness and good judgment for safety overrule on that special night.
my guess is that it will not be canceled regardless of the frightening and very real pandemic the virus has caused around the world!.
At the present time I am not meeting with any group. I am postponing any non emergency medical appointment, Dentist etc. If I was an active miserable JW instead of a very happy ex JW I would not be attending any meetings. Groups are danger zones.
And yes this may become a 'growing trend' among the JW community. Give them freedom from meetings and perhaps...hopefully......... some may never return. "It's ok I'll just sit with the phone and listen to the meeting". Snore
Let's keep in mind that this is not an air born disease but a touch disease.
It can stay active on any surface for up to a week as far as I have been informed.
That's not a handkerchief poking out of my breast suit jacket pocket....... it's a disinfectant wipe.
sorry guys had to delete the original post , when trying to verify it seemed not what i was led to believe.
as you know there is no way to just to delete/cancel ones post.. so in order to lighten the disppointment here goes:.
i always take life with a grain of salt.
As you know there is no way to just to delete/cancel ones post.
Yes there is
You have thirty minutes to delete or adjust a post. It says 'edit' under your post that allows for changes.
The best approach is to carefully check out your 'facts' first. If your not sure try to find another source. I have buried a fair number of posts which didn't check out factually.
Unlike a fair number of contributors I don't want to lie about real facts.
