I wonder when your dad says 'they are smarter than me', who he is actually referring to? It is very unlikely than any of the GB had anything to do with creating and designing the app.

Comment from my dad, "They are smarter than me."
by Faithful Witness inmy jw (converts of about 5 years) came over on thursday and ate a turkey dinner with us.
we didn't call it thanksgiving, but that was obviously what it was.
they were proud to give me my own copy of the new revised and improved nwt bible.

Highlights from the Circuit Assembly!!
by DATA-DOG ingod's word is beneficial ca:.
full time service:.
there are sound reasons for pioneering.. 1) it's the most satisfying work there is.. 2) you cooperate even more fully with the angels and the anointed [ which equals the gb/fds, not sister old mcsingletilldeath.].

,,,"Another supervisor argued with the Boss while the sister, " Watched JEHOVAH work things out." The Boss finally gave up. He fired her, she got her 401K to live on, and then got re-hired with insurance. JEHOVAH will act for you if you do MORE."
Obviously it wasn't the sister that was arguing with the boss that led to her sacking, someone else did that and they were only doing what God had directed them to do.
What they are now saying is to fight with your boss for what you want even to the point of being sacked.

Why the field service reports?
by Syme insome years ago, we had this difficult bible study with a guy who was unofficially a witness for about 40 years, yet he would never make the step of becoming an unbaptized publisher.
we pushed him at some point to tell us the reason, and the reason was this: he didn't agree with the field reports practice.
he said he did a lot of preaching by himself but didn't see any reason to report it to the congregation.. of course, we told him that the reason we hand in field reports is so that we have statistics, and know how much work is done worldwide and bla-bla-blah.

They would likely argue that they need the names so they can chase up individuals who had forgotten to lodge their report.

JWs left about 10 Minutes Ago
by ABibleStudent ini'm visiting my brother and his family in virginia for thanksgiving.
as i was looking out the kitchen window today, saturday, waiting for my sister-in-law to finish talking with my niece on the phone, i noticed an older couple in thick coats going to different houses in the cul-de-sac.
as i was watching the older couple and thinking about what i would do if they rang the door where i was and if they were jws, the door rang.. at the door were two older african-american women.

No bibles, just advertising their publications, that speaks volumes.
A Bible Student, you did very well with your main message telling them to think.

"The start of that sanguinary conflict was doubtless part of his scheme to blind persons to what had happened in the heavens in fulfillment of Bible prophecy and also, if at all possible, to hinder the Kingdom from ruling over the world of mankind."
The question is, if WW1 had not occurred earlier then how would it have been evident that the Kingdom had been given to Jesus in Oct 1914? They have clarified their claim by using the words 'if at all possible'. It is just a nonsense piece of speculation.

They forgot the 'sanity' clause in that article.
Their definition of the term generation shows how the JW religion will make up anything just to fit in with it's own made up timetables.
If anyone thinks this is a petty issue then they just can't see the bigger picture. It really demonstrates just how gullible the average JW is if they swallow this rubbish.

More WT Propaganda: Low Paying Jobs are OK for Family Heads. Just "Don't Miss the Meetings!"
by Oubliette ingod, evidently, wants you to be poor: .
a newly baptized brother is married, and he and his wife have three small children.
one day, a workmate suggested that he and the brother move to another company that paid a higher wage and provided more benefits.

Children getting publisher status or getting baptised
by Apostating ini live in holland and my children are 5 and 7 years old and live with their jw mom.. today i was pondering what legal rights i have as a parent regarding the status of my under age children within this religion.
what would happen if i was to send a registered letter to the branch and congregation, that as long as my children are under age they cannot be publishers or get baptised.
and if they are there will be legal consequences.

Service Meeting Part about Sisters Wearing Head Coverings
by TTATTelder inthis week's service meeting had another part about women wearing head coverings.there's already been a post about it, but i would like some thoughts from the forum on the scripture referenced.
11: 3-10. i want to focus on verses 4-6. it says this (nnwt):.
"4)every man who prays or prophesies with something on his head shames his head; 5) but every woman who prays or prophesies+ with her head uncovered shames her head, for it is one and the same as if she were a woman with a shaved head.

Just recalling how this issue of women's head coverings was raised. There were instructions for JW sisters to wear head coverings at the door if she is conducting a study and a male JW is with her in the Nov 2013 KM.
Ttattelder posted the scripture that this idea is based on and it made me realize once again just how sexist the org is.
Note
1Cor. 11: 4 states -
"4)Every man who prays or prophesies with something on his head shames his head"
Here in Australia hats were very common prior to the 70s and brothers often wore them out witnessing. Then again in the 90s hats once again made their appearance, we were warned of how dangerous the sun is here (apparently we have a hole in the ozone layer) and the problem of increasing the risk of skin cancers. I have seen the brothers go out in door to door work wearing a hat, it's a sensible thing to do.
I have not come across any instructions for brothers not to wear a hat whilst preaching or whilst giving a study at the doorstep. The GB once again prove how sexist they are and how they love lording it over the sisters.

Anonymouz I don't ignore your posts but they are usually very hard to read. This last post of yours is well written and I can comprehend it for a change.
I don't know how you can guarantee that this will take at least 10 years, is there bible backing for that guarantee?
Also, although the org has a lot of money it is not that significant in the grand scale of economies and their monies would just be a drop in the ocean if it was to go towards funding a global government, I don't understand why they would bother if they can instead hold onto 7 million followers which won't happen if they cannot finance the organization any longer.
