  take a good look.

  provides support for my theory that the society wants to 'hide out' in an area dominated by jewish enclaves - who quietly are a publically unchallenged 'law unto themselves' as they dominate or largely control wide swaths of ny territory right down to local pta elections.. this is not politically correct stuff, folks but power brokers in ny state gov.

  The elders have a book called 'Shepherding the Flock' and it doesn't even come close to dealing with these types of issues, shame on them.

  it amazes me at what many have said.

  perhaps i have misunderstood what they were saying.

  You say that the HS has no other active part in anything at all. You may be just referring to the appointment of elders but it helps to reconsider this point in other areas of their teaching.

  The HS has a very active role in appointing the 'anointed' There are over 11,000 JWs who would testify this and not the least being the GB members themselves. If this appointment and anointment is so clear in their minds then the HS must be active in other ways.

  If individuals feel this HS so strongly as to proclaim they have been given a different hope to the rest of the JWs and will be recieving a special role in heaven that only they have been selected for then it should'nt be out of the question to think that the HS can have an active part in other things such as the appointment of elders.

  Yearbook is late this year

  usually i recieve an advanced yb but have not this year.

  i also notice they have not posted it yet on jw.org.. i wonder if this is due to problems at the printery at wallkill or they decided to produce the yb later from now on?.

  or perhaps they decided not to publish it any more.. anyone have any info on this?.

  Maybe they won't print the yearbook and just have it available online, that would be a big cost savings.

  separating of the sheep and the goats you can live forever in paradise on earth, 1982, p 183, states: since christ returned and sat down on his heavenly throne, all humankind has been on judgment... during the presentjudgment people are being separated as goats to christs left hand or as sheep to his right.. the wt of jan. 1, 1988, p 16, confirmed this: yes, all mankind is being scrutinized to see who are sheep and who are goats.... the messages are broadcast by human mouthpieces under angelic direction.

  a person is identified as a sheep or as a goat by the way he responds to the angelic messages.

  during this 20 th century, only jehovahs witnesses have cooperated with the angels in this vital work.. .

  Good point Hamsterbait. The GB sit on their thrones proclaiming that the Great Crowed are being judged as sheep or goats since 1914 but billions of people have dies since. What was the point of that judging if they will be resurrected anyway and had no chance of living long enough to possibly survive Armageddon?

  i could go on and on about my personal journey over the last 2 years or so, but i don't need to.

  everything i needed to hear to finally lay my doubts to rest happened on one meeting night.

  it could only be divine providence.

  "M.E.P.S. Only Jehovah could put his idea for M.E.P.S into a human mind. Just like the Tabernacle builders of old who received the Holy Spirit to invent never before seen "socket pedastles", the humble brothers were able to design M.E.P.S. No other organization on earth could have done this. This is 100% proof that JWs have the truth and are being used exclusively by Jehovah."

  From the sounds of it, this is what was being said at the meeting DD attended.

  The Insight book provides further detail regarding the building of the Tabernacle and states

  "Design Jehovah had spoken to Moses in the mountain, giving him the complete pattern for the tabernacle, commanding him: “See that you make all things after their pattern that was shown to you in the mountain.” It served in providing “a shadow of the heavenly things” and therefore had to be accurate to the least detail. (Heb 8:5) Jehovah inspired Bezalel and Oholiab, so that the work, which others including both men and women shared in, could be done perfectly, according to the instructions Moses gave. The result was: “According to all that Jehovah had commanded Moses, that was the way the sons of Israel did all the service.”

  To be noted from the article is that God spoke directly to Moses explaining the pattern required and Bezalel and Oholiab were inspired to carry out the work, so that it could be done perfectly.

  This would suggest that the JWs claim that God spoke directly to that MEPS designer who then instructed some chief workers to follow out those instruction with the help of inspiration from the holy spirit.

  If this is really so, it is no wonder DD wants to go back.

  The only flaw to this is that the tabernacle was perfect, the MEPS system isn't, so I'm sure DD will be returning.

  I couldn't find anything to confirm that the tabernacle builders were the first to invent these socket pedestales, even so, if they had been then it was from God's direct instruction and inspiration.

  Their was this example related in a Watchtower magazine, encouraging JWs to do the same

  In contrast to the attitude of these elective elders was that of an elderly couple with whom I stayed on the outskirts of Richmond, Virginia. The brother went down to get the mail before breakfast, and when we had breakfast he said, "Brother Riemer, I got a new Watchtower this morning, and do you know the first thing that Ma and I do when we get that Tower? We kneel down before we take the wrapper off and ask Jehovah to make us worthy to see what the message is that Jehovah has for us. Now, before we take the wrapper off, will you kneel down and pray with us?" How different that elective elder was from this humble couple who appreciated Jehovah's organization!
