If you don't believe in God, Jesus, and everything in the Bible, you are willfully ignorant.

I'm on holidays in Hong Kong at the moment and already have come across two seperate sets of JWs. Their tactics are very interesting and are contradictory.
The first time I saw them was near the Ferry terminals. They had their lit cart and there were three JWs, an older male and female standing next to the trolley and a younger guy holding up a mag in each hand next to the female JW. They were all just standing there, not saying a word. This is in accordance with the instructions issued by the WTBTS.
The second time was in a shopping mall in a more residential area. There were a number of JWs spreading themselves through out the mall and at entry points. The big difference here was that they were being very very proactive and going up to people to engage them in conversation whilst holding out a pamphlet for that individual to take. This is very effective witnessing as they were all talking to someone.
One guy approached me and said that his pamphlet would show me how to access information that would answer every question that I have about life. This offended me and rather than walking away I stopped and we had a long conversation. I will post the conversation when I get back home.

The organization doesn't have a physical glass bowl that they look into to see what is going to happen in the future but this picture that they have stages is exactly the same thing. This picture is a snapshot of what they believe will happen and what they are doing is more than scaremongering. They are stepping beyong what the bible says and are making their own assumptions and looking into the future and foretelling what it holds.

Watchtower November 2014: Witnesses can't donate blood
by opusdei1972 inlet us read a recent watchtower publication:.
many medical professionals and other advocates of blood transfusion appeal to people to donate blood in hopes of saving lives.
however, jehovahs holy people acknowledge that the creator has the right to say how blood is to be treated.

They seem to be using the word Holy in this magazine numerous times, maybe they are moving away from the term 'Holy spirit'.

When did JW females start wearing flat heels?

Do you think that the Jehovahs Witness religion would be better /worse if their were an equal number of male/female on the G.B.?
by smiddy inof course this is a hypothetical question , it will never happen .?
but what if it did , what do you think the society would be like if it did happen .?.
let your imaginations run wild .

There would be a cat fight to start with just to be considered for the role. No it would not be better off, the internal workings of the organization would ensure that anyone, male or female, were simply stooges as part of their workings. I've given up hope that this could be a more loving and considerate organization.

I enjoyed your post Clarity about the 'sense of urgency' and especially the 'godly sense of urgency' when God has no sense of urgency.
The Governing Body who are being prompted along by other members at headquarters are absolutely nuts and have lost all bible understanding and putting their trust in God.
The picture depicts an elder reading out life saving instructions provided not by God, but by Headquarters. They think that they are now all that important. Yet all they are busy doing at the moment is buying and selling buildings and printing articles telling their flock to obey them.
Going by their track record the letter the elder is reading will be full of instructions that are detrimental and it won't matter one bit becasuse they have their 'get out of jail free' card, they are allowed to make mistakes because they are imperfect. Problem is, the sheepies have to follow those carzy intstructions regardless of whether they make any logical sense to them or not.
It is not even feasable that a person would risk all to get to a basement just to be with an elder who reads out a letter.
If you were to ask the GB what exactly is in that letter they wouldn't be able to tell you but somehow they will know at the necessary time what to write. How will they know? They couldn't tell you that either. How will they know what they have depicted in this picture will actually occur? Of course they don't and here again we see them prophesying.
They are looking into the future and depicting what will occurr. Who needs the bible when we have prophets amongst us.

This is what Wikapedia says about mourning in relation to Nedab and Abihu
Mourning [ edit ]
Aaron and the other surviving priests were commanded not to mourn, participate in mourning rituals, or have contact with the dead. This was applicable not only in this case; but it was modified in an ongoing command. While priests could mourn, they could not have contact with the dead - even a dead spouse, parent or child - and they could not participate in public mourning rituals. [ 17 ] As the representatives of the people, priests were to avoid anything that might disqualify them for God’s service. [ 18 ] They were to remain ready and able to act in God's service whenever the community needed them.
The command not to mourn also applied because the crime of Nadab and Abihu was so provoking to God and fully merited the punishment which God had inflicted. To mourn in this case could be seen by the people as accusing God of undue severity. [ 19 ] Both the people and the priests needed to show submission to a righteous judgement. [ 20 ] If the anointed priests were to sin in this manner, the blame would fall not only upon them but also upon the people. [ 21 ] In addition, all Jews are prohibited from mourning on the Sabbath and during Festivals of the Lord. These are days for celebration, no sorrow is permitted to impinge upon the joy of the days.
However, the people in the community as a whole were allowed to mourn and display grief. The death of Nadab and Abihu was tragic yet deserved, [ 22 ] and the people were to first recognize that it was deserved and then mourn their death.
So it wa only the priests that were instructed not to mourn. The principle here was that the priests had to demonstrate that they accepted God's decision in the matter. The point is that it wasn't the Priests that issued judgement, it was God and they had to accept this. There is no similarities between this and their current day difellowshipping. It is the elders that issue judgement, not God.

Colossians 1:15-16 and the word "other"
by yogosans14 in"he is the image of the invisible god, the firstborn of all creation; because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities.
all [other] things have been created through him and for him.
" (col. 1:15-17, for context.

by AlanF inan appendix in the book contains some 120 questions along with hundreds of scriptural "proof texts" that the proselyte is then expected to study.
12 jesus commanded his followers to baptize new disciples in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit.
the following quotation shows what the proselyte is expected to study just prior to baptism:.
