  i always get curious when someone posts an article from the wt.

  so i end up going there to look around at the whole article and find other things that are curiouser and couriouser.. certainly, god’s thinking is superior to that of today’s world.

  living by his thoughts will bring us the greatest happiness and success.

  Great news, the FDS says it won't excercise control over a persons thinking. Now we will begin to see JW men with beards, JW women wearing slacks in field work and at the halls, they'll be celebrating birthdays and the list goes on.

  i heard it from someone who attended the latest wt study, and quickly posted it with - you guessed it - a picture of a lovely flower bouquet.

  Saying hello again

  just saying i’m still alive and greeting everyone, veterans and newcomers to this forum.. 2018 was a year with a lot of turmoil in my life; me and my wife separated, then reunited months later, and spent the second half of the year healing the emotional wounds from that episode.

  that, along with a record year in terms of my business meant that choices had to be made regarding my time, and i decided to focus on my marriage instead of other endeavours.

  it seemed to have paid off.

  Printed vs Produced

  in the january 1, 2015 watchtower it says printing each issue 52,946,000 in 228 languages semimonthly.

  in that 2016 #1 issue watchtower it says produced each issue 58,987,000 in 254 languages monthly.

  what is the difference between printed and produced?.

  I think 'printed' means the actual physical numbers printed - hard copies.
  
  'Produced' is anything they want it to mean. This includes both the number of physical copies they print plus the number accessed online, however they choose to count that.

  New Year's Day Party

  for what it's worth:.

  we just held our 3rd annual new year's day party.. we kept the list down to thirty invites this year with the provision that they could bring guests.

  so the final count was well up there.

  Is is true one of the new residence buildings at Warwick was never used and lays empty?

  if true what a waste of dedicated funds that could have been used to build 1000's of k.h's in africa.

  I thought at some stage they were not going to build one of the resident buildings or maybe they just delayed it.

  Since they had initially planned for it and it had been approved, in the long run, it would be significantly cheaper to build it now rather than later on.

  If Sir82 is right then could we see Walkill or Patterson be sold off entirely? They are printing significantly less than what they were just a few years ago.

  it appears this study article has been written because the organization is still having trouble teaching african jws that they are not to follow their traditional customs when someone dies and not to believe in spirits.it has been speculated for some time that it is african jws that have attributed to the increase in 'anointed' partakers.interestingly, no-where in this article does it even mention their two class system and the anointed having a heavenly hope.

  it is amazing that they title the article as upholding the truth about death and fail to mention their two hope doctrine.the following are some quotes -.

  Since they only tell half the story about their beliefs of those that die, their message is simple. Unfortunately, it's one thing to use simplified english but completely another to exclude half their teachings on a matter just to make it look simple, especially when you claim you are speaking the truth about a matter.
  
  Further into the article, the Watchtower instructs JWs how they must behave, then a paragraph later they say that the Elders will not tell them how to behave -
  
  

  As Jehovah’s servants, we certainly do not believe any myths or take part in any practices that promote Satan’s lies!​—1 Cor. 10:21, 22.....

  She has 10,000 dislikes which indicates that there are a lot of JWs watching. It would seem that Spanish JWs are more willing to listen to apostates.
