Half Banana, he doesn't spend all his time exposing the Watchtower. He spends time conjuring up ways of getting money. Printing copies of Crisis of Conscience and plastering his own website on the back of it and advertising them for sale when he wasn't the copyright owner or didn't have permission is one example.

Yes, @Listener. Donations. Aren't you wondering how a five star, fully catered event on the harbor hosting 134 guests with NO cover charge got funded? I'm glad Lloyd did have the voice to speak up on behalf of the two generous hosts who single-handedly foot the bill of the entire event themselves. You know who you are. ❤️
No I wouldn't be wondering how an event like that was funded. I assumed that most people attending would have paid a cover charge and I think most people would have been prepared to do that. That was extremely generous of the two hosts to foot the entire bill themselves. Because, as you say, they footed the entire bill themselves which would have meant that nobody donated which is unfortunate.
Since Lloyd knew this then why did he get the hosts to ask for donations themselves rather than doing it himself and making it clear what the donations were going to be used for. It would have been very awkward for the hosts to ask for donations and also say that the donations were to reimburse their own costs. What a shame, since he's not by any means, backwards in coming forwards.
Anyway, as it was Lloyd already did his self promotion and personal money earning venture during the event by holding a session of book signing. I think someone said that he had cartons of both his books available.
I really think you are exaggerating a bit here Wakemeupbeforeyoujoho which is a shame. You claim that it was a fully catered event funded fully by the Hosts. You know full well that guests bought there own drinks which makes your statement incorrect. And before you go off the deep end again, I think that the Hosts were very, very generous, both of their time and money, it was very kind of them to do that. -

Xanthippe, when you talk to JWs at their cart ask them for a scripture that backs up their interpretation or is it just something the Governing Body (men) made up. They can't answer that and they will try to take the conversation in a different direction.

Two JW`s called at my door today
by smiddy3 inthe wife and i were expecting a health worker to call at our door 10:30 this morning and about 10;35 two women appeared at our door so i opened up thinking they were who i expected ,so i was take back a bit being caught off guard when they identified themselves as doing a bible work.. this is just the gist of what took place & not a word for word conversation.. a woman about in her fifties her companion about her twenties.the older woman did most of the talking as she read to me the scripture from her phone " in the last days critical times hard to deal with...etc.etc.and she went back and emphasised that we were living in the last days because of what that scripture said.. i made the comment that the scripture just about sums up human history in any given time.then i went on to say that this day and age is the best time in human history overall given the advances in technology ,medical procedures ,the overall standard of living being higher and so on .but they insisted on we were living in the last days.then i said different religions have been claiming that for the past couple hundred years.. then to throw them a curve ball i asked if they were mormons ?
oh no we are jehovah`s witnesses.had i been prepared for them and not caught out unawares i would have taken a different tact.i then asked the older woman how long she has been a witness and she said 36 years so i then said to her you must have seen a lot of changes in your religion during that time which she agreed with.
( the light gets brighter).

He's an a outstanding gentleman. It was relayed back that he has approached the carts on occassions to express his concern. Apparently he was talking to a few of the guys at the gathering for an hour and a half. I really wish that they had caught that on video.
Contrast that with Loyd approaching the speaker towards the end and whispering a reminder to mention the contribution box for donations.
I hope to hear more about their interaction with Angus Stewart.

Satan Hurled Out in 1914 - Will They Say It Was Never Taught?

since 2005, i have been through a lot with with wbts.
recently i came across a suggestions that they will start denying that they ever said satan was hurled out of heaven in 1914.. in my experience, it is one doctrine many ordinary members are clear about - you ask them what supposedly took place in 1914 and they'll say, "satan was hurled out of heaven, therefore world war i started.".

Anna Marina, they've already taken steps to change this teaching. The Watchtower has a habit of slowly introducing new ideas before committing to a completely different doctrine.
When they released their latest Bible they included a timeline and in this they mention the year 1914. Of particular note, they do not mention Jesus' presence and instead they only include this statementAbout 1914 C.E.
Jesus hurls the serpent, Satan, to the earth, confining him there for a short time.—Revelation 12:7-9, 12.

Stating that this occurred about 1914 means that they are no longer confident or even teaching that he was hurled down in 1914 as definite year. What they are planning in new doctrine is anyones guess but they have laid the groundwork for it.

Lv101 I watched that YouTube as well and thought there were some excellent points brought up from the May 2019 Watchtower.
One point being that the Watchtower calls child abuse a plague and another interesting point was how they use both the words sin and crime in reference to child abuse in the article.

Do You Think Disfellowshipping Is The Worst Thing About Jehovah’s Witnesses?
by minimus inthe longer i’m out the more i feel that disfellowshipping is cruel.
i understand the organization tells parents to not even accept emails or texts from their disfellowshipped children.
while i was a witness they tried to discourage families from association but there was some leeway if it was considered necessary business to interact.

Just like you can sell your soul to Satan, the Organisation requires that you sell your soul to them and that is the worst thing about it.
It is the result of this that we see individuals willing to shun their own sons and daughters, die because of refusing blood and so on.
