  IICSA Final Report

  the english legal system's independent inquiry into child sexual abuse has issued its final report, and its recommendations.

  to read the report in full just google iicsa report, if you search on the iicsa site you can find the specific investigation into j.w's.. but this recommendation from the final report is interesting, esp.

  the first and last sentences.

  w13 7/15 p. 20 “who really is the faithful and discreet slave?” revealed it was a bunch of guys in new york, back in 1919.. the apostle paul must have been un-inspired when he wrote this back in the 1st century:.

  That light just gets brighter and brighter. What they thought they saw was one man, then ten thousand or so, including females but more recently, just eight men. It's hard to figure out what they've really been looking at.

  yesterday's jw annual meeting was held without a word...without any prior mention of it.

  anyone on this forum attend the event supposedly held via zoom?

  Hi Atlantis, Thanks for asking, I'm doing well.

  Fortunately, I am far away from the devastating hurricane. I live Down Under, in Western Australia.

  It would be lovely if you ever got the chance to visit. I'll throw an extra snag on the BBQ and cook up a batch of Brownies with peanuts if you like, we usually add walnuts.

  It's strawberry season at the moment. Some Aussies like them on Pavlova (a soft meringue that is crispy on the outside but way too sugary), we like them dipped in melted chocolate.

  Glad to hear that you were out of harms way.

  How the GB can stand in front of an audience and claim incidents like these are bold face lies is a disgrace.

  Another congregation closed

  15 years ago there were 5 congregations now there is only one and it is still struggling.

  congregations closing their doors doesn’t mean business is good.

  it looks like this last one to fold had no young witnesses, they either left the religion or moved.

  How do they reconcile the idea of making their followers travel further for meetings so that they can afford to make more videos?

  I suspect that these new studios are a coverup for where the bulk of the money is really going and an excuse to keep begging for more.

  (in the what's new section) apparently jehovah is still failing to provide the necessary funds so have to beg and petition men for support even though we said we'd never do that!.

  new angle, if you want to make friends with jehovah and jesus we need more of your unrighteous riches .

  I gather this was a morning worship for the Bethelites - who have made a vow of poverty. I wondered what he was doing lecturing them for more money.

  These Bethelites and many are Elders go out to Congregations so I gather the talk is to indoctrinate them with the attitude that they must promote the idea of asking for the congregation members for their unrighteous riches.

  Being accounted as righteous humans, they are accepted by God and begotten as spiritual sons. In this way they are in a standing with God as priests...While still in the flesh they enjoy spiritual enlightenment...Also, while yet on earth, they perform priestly services for others, just as did the ancient Hebrew priests. Being spiritually enlightened and fed, they enlighten others in the understanding of God’s Word, and feed them spiritual nourishment...As ambassadors of God these priests help others to become reconciled to him. (2 Cor. 5:20) Thus they do a very valuable, beneficial spiritual healing work.
  (During the paradise) Then they will administer to earthly persons, not only spiritual healing, but also physical healing...Right now we need the help of this priesthood to survive the coming “great tribulation,” which will destroy this system of things.

  Their main problem is that they are talking about the remnant of the 144,000, being both males and females and it's just the GB that have been acting in the positions they mention.
