"The preaching work would start to close off soon"
That's one good reason (excuse) for cutting down on printing.
They'll be preaching that the preaching work has stopped and not see the irony in it.
please tell me what do you understand from this quote that is taken from w july 2015, the article your deliverance is close paragraph 5.. i understand that not all members of other religions will be destroyed at armageddon.
i talked to a jw.
he says he understands differently: they will not be destroyed when the babylon the great will be destroyed but they will be destroyed in armageddon.

an awake!tm article about shunning spouses.. http://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/g201306/the-silent-treatment/#?insight[search_id]=f6240b1c-2a33-4ac9-a50b-f2130feaa43e&insight[search_result_index]=0 .
apparently it's retaliation and manipulation.. i wonder what they think about shunning df'd or da'd victims?.
inspired by the three recent threads on david splane's new video declaring, among other things, that there was no faithful slave for 1900 years, and there may not have even been any genuine anointed ones during those years, i decided to make this post.. here are the three previous threads on this topic:.

Splane states 'we don't know if any of them were of the anointed'.
This would include their very own founder - Charles T Russell, amazing.
W 66 9/15
.....So it turned out to be after the 1870’s that a small group of sincere, anointed ones came together to form eventually the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society under the presidency of Charles Taze Russell. .....
W 55 3/1
.....Russell, as chairman of a committee of seven men, made a round-the-world tour, spreading seeds of truth that in time brought into fruitful action additional groups of anointed Christians in far-flung areas of the globe.....
Kingdom Ministry 3/95
Yet, when you consider all that has happened at Bethel these past 85 years, from the time of Brother Russell till now, there is no doubt that Jehovah’s hand has been with his anointed servants, part of the spiritual seed of Abraham, at Bethel.
men in their twenties play football.. men in their forties play tennis.. men in their sixties play golf.. when men get older their balls get smaller..
ive had to make statements like this too many times.
communities like this have had to endure tragedies like this too many times.
once again, communities [were harmed] because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no problem getting their hands on a gun.. lets be clear: at some point, we as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries.
Jesus did not say. This is what the GB say.W 13 7/15
12 When did Jesus appoint the faithful slave over his domestics? To answer that, we need to go back to 1914—the beginning of the harvest season. As we learned earlier, at that time many groups claimed to be Christian. From which group would Jesus select and appoint the faithful slave? That question was answered after he and his Father came and inspected the temple, or spiritual arrangement for worship, from 1914 to the early part of 1919.* (Mal. 3:1) They were pleased with a small band of loyal Bible Students who showed that their heart was with Jehovah and his Word. Of course, they needed some cleansing, but they humbly responded during a brief period of testing and refining. (Mal. 3:2-4) Those faithful Bible Students were true Christian wheat. In 1919, a time of spiritual revival, Jesus selected capable anointed brothers from among them to be the faithful and discreet slave and appointed them over his domestics."
They claim that he selected capable anointed brothers from amongst a small band of loyal bible students. Their answer is very unclear but they were male and it was only a small number, more than one person.
It is a good question to ask any JW, they will not be able to answer it without being just as obscure. If they cannot be identified then there cannot be any basis for them claiming that they know who was appointed as the fds, or that they actually were.

i enjoyed the simple and understandable reasoning.

Thanks for the links. It provided the link to Splane's morning worship talk.
The GB still believe that there were anointed on earth throughout the last 1900 years but if they were not qualified to provide spiritual food then how did they become anointed? This means that during those 1900 years the anointed did not need to know bible truths, including the requirement to preach to others. On what basis did God select them in order to anoint them?
Surely, if those individuals were anointed by God during this period of time without the need to receive or pass on spiritual food or the need to be part of an earthly organization (or God's earthly organization) then there is no such requirement today for one to be selected to be anointed.
By giving this speech Splane is including Charles T Russel as being disqualified to be appointed as the FDS.

Rose in Bloom, could you please provide a link or source reference as the article refers to further discussions.
interestingly, jws in norway actually do invite people to attend convention in stockholm, even from the city of bod, some 1176 km away (driving distance 14 h 30 m away).. .
.
near the top of page 15 in the april 15, 2015 watchtower shows a photo of the malawi congress party card made the center of jws being severely persecuted in malawi in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
the lie is furthered in this watchtower article is that the whole issue was over jws refusing to involve themselves in politics.
readers who want to know the whole story of what caused this persecution are invited to consider evidence in the following article presentations: .
Well done Marvin, great blog. Do you get the feeling that you are being monitored by Bethel given the responses posted?

a very very sad situation . what is our saving grace is that each of us alone stand before the almighty god each of us have answer for misleading one another . at the end of the day whatever our religion we are all indivdually judged . are any of us truly free of anything ? we live in a blame culture . while we look and judge others thats how we ourselves will be judged . i heard a quote by jonathan swift we have enough knowledge to hate but not enough to love . how true . those men you talk about s.tand before god and so do i so on that basis i wont be making a comment . im going now to spread a bit of love .hee i hope you know where im going with this . i need all the mercy i can get
It's a thoughtful post, other than he is suggesting that you (Marvin) shouldn/t be judging others but he's missing a few issues here. Firstly, it's not just men (JW leaders) that are the problem, it is the position and power that they hold. They imposed their conscience and ideas on hundreds of followers, by their power they were enforcing them to be obedient to them. This was done under the guise of religion and under the JW banner. It's not about pointing fingers at a bunch of individuals but at a religion If a person is to be under subjection to a religion it is important that they are aware as to how that religion operates. This brings me to the second issue.
We will be judged individually and that also means that if we choose to join a religion we are blindly supporting all the values and ideas that the religion professes. This is particularly so if we are aware of their wrongdoing and continue to support them. To date the WTBTS has not apologized for their actions or admitted that they were wrong. Personally I would not like to be in the position of knowing about the Malawi situation and continuing in service with them.
