  i just read an email from a friend, and she shared some very interesting emails from her friends about information on changes now happening at the bethels around the world.

  They laid off a lot of bethelites a few years ago. That seemed to have little affect on anything.

  what happens to ex-bethelites is really of no concern to the gb.

  and equally no concern to us as ex-jws or those who question jw organization.. layoffs have happened at headquarters and elsewhere for many, many years - although the scale this time is larger than previously, being an all time high: 1,600. .

  for the record, we should spare any sympathy/empathy for those who are about to sent packing this time.

  Any thoughts on the real reasons for droppng the 'school"

  my thoughts are.

  1. they want to avoid being made to comply with any laws that come with anything classed as a "school" especially a school with children enrolled.. 2. the mid-week meeting has been dying in the ass for years and needs a revival.

  i predict happy -clappy-sing-a-longs to be included in the program.. anyone else have any thoughts ??

  On Cedars video he suggests that it is someone within Bethel has leaked the information and makes an address to the GB stating that they have Brothers at Bethel who are prepared to leak information and to remember that these are people that they sit down to a meal to eat with.

  Surely the letter has already been printed and ready to send out, I don't see why someone in the printing department, who isn't high up, would not have easy access to this.

  Is Warwick still being built?

  does anyone know if this new freeze on all construction projects includes the new headquarters being built in warwick?.

  if it does apply to it, then this really makes no sense whatsoever.

  the society is poised to make hundreds of millions of dollars (perhaps even a billion) by selling the properties they currently occupy in brooklyn.

  They've sold a lot of the properties off in New York already, they will have a set deadline for having to move Bethelites out of there.

  If they have been relying on volunteers to build Warwick there might be things that have been going wrong, I don't think they've tackled such a large project with so many volunteers. Some posters on places like reddit have stated that work has to be redone because it is not up to standard and who knows what sort of other problems they have been running into.

  But the deadline is there. It may be that they have to start looking at engaging worldly contractors to help with the Warwick build and because it hasn't been costed in, it will be a huge cost.

  will the branch send out a letter to address appropriate attire for the worldwide graduation from .

  "the school that no one ever graduates from"?.

  i have been thinking of the endless ways this new direction for the tms termination screams for criticism.. i am sure a quick publication search will reveal several references gushing at how great of an invention the tms was, how it has benefitted jw's, you know, gush, gush, greatest thing since sliced bread, blah, blah, blah.... i'm not interesting in looking at the moment, but wasn't knorr credited with its invention and rollout?.

  the culture of jws as encouraged by the watchtower is one of informing on one another, reporting to either the elders or ones designated head.

  whats the wackiest thing that someone reported on you?

  im not talking about a black-and-white watchtower rule that would land you in a judicial committee, but some judgmental nonsense that someone thought they should turn you in about?.

  seriously, they will change the midweek meeting ever so slightly.

  it is just repackaging of the same old stuff.seriously, we don't know if construction is halted for days, weeks, months, forever, or what.. we don't know if new kingdom halls will still go up, old kingdom halls will be closed and sold.

  Offering the awake magazine to the public one month and then the watchtower the next month means placements will be immediately halved, this is a big saving for the org.
