You're right fmf. Jesus was not commending the widow for what she had done.
Once again the scripture is taken out of context and the earlier verses confirm what you wrote
Mark 12
38 As he taught, Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted with respect in the marketplaces, 39 and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. 40 They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.”
The Widow’s Offering
41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts.42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.
43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.” -

This link may explain another reason why they planned to sell the Swedish Branch. It's an interesting article and appears to be ongoing. The WTBTS want to be considered as a religion in Sweden and be entitled to Government Funds and less taxes. It is reported that the Government consider Jehovah’s Witnesses as a sect and states in the report that
Jehovah’s Witnesses as a sect for the only reason that they are not part of the Christian Council of Sweden and do not partake in any ecumenical work. Furthermore, the SST went on to invoke internal doctrinal matters of Jehovah’s Witnesses to conclude “that it can be called in [to] question if JW fulfils the requirements stipulated in the law on grants to religious communities.”
The report mentions that the issues that concerned the Swedish Commission were to do with blood, treatment of disfellowshipped persons and nuetrality.
A Wikapedia entry also explains
Swedish Jehovah's Witnesses have also been criticized for allegedly not following the Convention on the Rights of the Child.[4]
No doubt this is viewed as further persecution but when all is said and done the only issue I can see is to do with money.

There will be three presentations during the new Christian Life & Ministry Meeting. They will be presented by two people and the GB has made specific instructions as to who can be involved in these presentations.
In all 3 presentations the same explicit instruction is given which is as follows -
This student presentation may be assigned to a brother or a sister. When assigned to a brother, the assistant should be a member of his family or a brother in the congregation.
I am wondering why they have singled out brothers advising them that they can use a family member or a brother but the same instruction is not given of a sister. I am assuming here that they think it is obvious that a sister could not use a brother even if they were a family member. Anyway there is potentially a serious problem with this arrangement.
The Brother is any baptized male in the congregation who has signed up to be part of this. They will now be given the opportunity to select any baptized Brother in the congregation to assist them and we know that there are young baptized boys, even as young as 8 or 9 that would qualify to be used.
What better opportunity could a pedo have by asking a young or vulnerable teenager to be their assistant and to meet privately to 'practice'?
They have argued for years that they don't 'work alone with children', especially in Australia and now turn around and set up an arrangement that specifically allows this.

As an example of their changes in Doctrine, until around 1950 they taught that it was proper to worship Jesus, they now teach that it is wrong. -

Churches in Australia could lose millions in tax breaks under radical national faith register plan
by sherrie11 inchurches and religious organisations would lose millions of dollars in tax breaks, concessions and hand outs under a radical plan to force priests, rabbis and imams to sign up to a national faith register.
under the bold proposal clergy would for the first time be forced to undergo government-specified training and security checks and would be monitored by a national body, or risk losing government funding..
former premier ted baillieu has backed the plan that has been put to federal and state leaders including the prime ministers office, and premier daniel andrews..

It always surprises me that they don't mind Sisters wearing white shirts with collars and now even a scarf that mimics a neck tie. For an organization that doesn't like females wearing pants because men wear them it is strange.

Although you will get a ridiculous answer or none at all, I think you should ask a couple of questions at the end. That way you are letting them know that you require some response, this is important particularly if you are doing it so that your dad can see your efforts.
You could ask them something like -
If I am to remain a Jehovah's Witness would I be required to believe that the flood was global and occurred around 2300 BCE? Would I also be required to teach this to others and not express my doubts amongst my fellow Brothers and Sisters?
Also, are you able to provide evidence of where my understanding is incorrect?

I went down in the first Round!
by John Aquila inthere is a visitor brother in town and from what ive been told, he has been a missionary for many years and they were having a get together for him.
i took my mom to that get-together yesterday and stayed for a few minutes.
i heard a group around a table with the visitor brother talking about how hard it was getting in the world with so many distractions and that many of the brothers were falling into the trap and leaving jehovahs organization.

A possible comeback would be to ask whether or not that scripture is a prophecy or not, to be fulfilled in our time. If the answer is no then he is simply speculating and we can say anything could happen when we speculate.
They seem to forget that these stories all led to the one outcome, their demise and the bible goes on to tell us it was completely replaced by something far greater, by Jesus himself. Did God set up this new kingdom arrangement only to see it partially fail like the old arrangement?
