Singapore is one of our favourite countries to visit. We've been there a number of times. We felt very safe and clean. It would be had to find a more modern city and it has a number of excellent attractions. The only downside is that accommodation is expensive.
A few years ago, hubby and I were walking through a park and we came across an elderly Singaporean couple who were sitting on the grass listening to a taped talk. I wondered if it was there way of public preaching.

Bill Covert, it's good to hear that your son is okay.
I don't see why you should be spending so much money in getting your story posted. These cases should all have been reported to the police.

Hypocrisy of JW.org at this week's book study
by UnshackleTheChains ina paragraph taken from this week's study of 'gods kingdom rules.
15 jehovah’s people remain loyal to the messianic kingdom not only by refusing military service but also by respectfully declining to join in nationalistic ceremonies.
especially since the outbreak of world war ii, a wave of nationalistic fervor has swept the globe.

It's only the Watchtower that decided saluting the flag or singing a national anthem was taking a vow of allegience. How is it even a vow? On top of this they then equate it as a form of worship or devotion. It is neither but because they say it is it becomes wrong. A JW is now under the impression that anyone saluting a flag is worshipping it and are judging that person as doing something wrong when they aren't.

When they say "child abuse is abhorrent to us", who exactly is this 'us'? It can't be their organisation because there are those within it who practice it.

Watchtower teaches that Jesus dying on the stake is no longer certain
by Listener inthe watchtower has held for many years that jesus died on a stake and held strongly to this teaching.
w 1951 3/15 the above agrees with the new world translation of the christian greek scriptures in its appendix, page 769, in saying that the instrument upon which jesus was nailed was a stake without a crossbeam, and not the religiously represented “cross”; and that the greek word used for that instrument in ancient time meant a “stake” and not the conventional religious cross.
they are no longer certain on this point.

They are no longer certain on this point. This is from their website on the question of whether Jesus died on a cross or stakeMany view the cross as the most common symbol of Christianity. However, the Bible does not describe the instrument of Jesus’ death, so no one can know its shape with absolute certainty.
This is an issue that was strongly upheld when going out in field work. So many arguments would have been prevented if we could have said that there is no absolute certainty on the matter. -

I loved this TTATT logo, I don't know where it comes from. It's better seen at the .58 mark.

If the prosecutor proves that the transactions were concluded in order to avoid enforcement of the judgment, and not for gratuitous gift, the State will be able to assign the property. "
The Watchtower organization is happy to participate in criminal activity. -

I guess he got mad because lately he's been wanting to get baptized and I told him he should wait a few years. The only reason I told him this was because I asked him why he wanted to do it and he couldn't come up with a reason. All he said was "Idk, I just want to get baptized" over and over. He's just like my sister, he does whatever he's told.
You're right to get mad and even madder if your parents let him. It's dead obvious he doesn't have the personal capacity to make this life altering decision. Tight pants Tony and others are to blame for this.
As to your parents wanting you to 'fake' your interest, you've really got to wonder where their mind is in all of this. Is it possible that one of your parents are just in it to keep the family harmonious? -

Looking at the first photo in the OP, it doesn't look very dignified or discreet.
One of the Asian ladies is pictured arm in arm with Lett which I suppose, if they personally know each other would be a different matter. It's obviously fine with him to have it plastered on the internet But the thumbs up from this lady has got me laughing, he probably didn't see her do that but they're not doing a great job in making the r&f more respectful of their great leaders.
Poor Lett, he comes off as being so gullible and this photo highlights that.
His 40+ year old tie and pocket square is so cutesy.
