reddit has now removed the video link of samuel herd telling jw's they will no longer have to report time or placements - just tick a box which says "active.".

How easy it's now going to be to increase their numbers.

Have your Bible study attend the occasional meeting, ask them if they've been speaking to others about it or anything spiritual and they are instantly an active publisher.

JW children won't need to be going door knocking, likely all they will need is the nod of an Elder who hears about their informal witnessing and they too can be actively reporting.

It will be interesting to see what the guidelines are but we saw how they changed what they now consider to be a Bible study. I think they can count a return visit who they spend more than 15 minutes at the door with and that person doesn't even know that they are a Bible study.

when did it become a thing in jw speak, and what does it refer to?.

That's what I was thinking NotFormer.

They will feel attacked from many angles. They'll be worried about the police being called on them for harassment or being a disturbance, then there will be people that just want to be left alone which will result in all sorts of reactions from nasty to frustrated and there will also be those that challenge them.

If they can't get permission to do their preaching in an area and for this type of preaching (there are many places that will required it), will they still do it? From the video on the October broadcast, it appears that they might.

There'll be a lot of court cases and a lot of fines.

It's going to be easy for activists to write into the councils or government bodies that give the permission, to provide multiple reasons as to why they should not.

Yes, absolutely.

I was just researching on Google as to what happened in Quebec in the 1940s as the older brother mentioned it in the same video where the younger brother covered the JW logo on the cart.

Here's what first popped up -

In the mid 1940s, Premier Maurice Duplessis ordered police to arrest Jehovah's Witnesses for distributing their literature. They were charged with seditious libel under the Criminal Code. Quebec courts agreed with this creative interpretation and hundreds of Witnesses were prosecuted.31 Jan 2017

I don't think they are going to officially announce the start of the Hailstone message since they haven't said that the GT has started. But they use it as a motivator to ramp up the recruiting work and possibly to introduce new ways of doing it. They are just preparing the sheep at the moment saying they need to prepare to be strong because one day they may have to deliver a Hailstone message

What is it that would cause the younger brother in the broadcast say he was scared about delivering a new witnessing method and hide the JW logo when a policeman walks past?

My guess is that they are going to be told to actively approach the public.

I think this might be illegal in certain areas and it will get them into trouble from the police. At the best, they could be seen to be a public nuisance. But this is why the Watchtower didn't introduce this when cart witnessing began.

It won't be easy work for the JWs anymore. Many will hate it, from feeling uncomfortable to fearing it.

Their plans of this Bible bashing method of recruiting may backfire with more JWs giving up and that's why they have to push this hard and instill even more fear into them. They likely anticipate this will motivate many JWs to return.

They are beating the domestics, telling them to get more followers. It's the current theme that they are really ramping up now.

The monthly broadcast is out and Cooke is presenting it. They are going on a campaign with a stronger message, not the hailstone one but a firm message. It sounds like it's going to be as hard hitting as the one they did in Quebec in the 1940s. It's going to incite fear (possibly of authorities but any fear will do) and courage into the followers.

The next step is the Annual General meeting which is supposed to be this Saturday.

that was indeed very traumatic.

i won't go to describe it.. dad went 17 years ago so there's just me now.

Diogenesister - I don't believe there was any I'll intention but it didn't take long for someone to go after him.

Let's see if the Watchtower, with it's multi million dollar backing steps up to protect him and his family. Surely they have this responsibility.

I don't recall the Blue Envelope giving out his address at all. He did provide enough PUBLICLY available information that his address was made even easier to find. When this was pointed out, he immediately took steps for it to be a little more difficult to work out from his video.

There's a poster on Reddit by the name of MyLittlePIMO who has written an interesting post which includes the following comments -

Salena's claims have gone mainstream viral, with 1.1 million views on TikTok. [Source Video] In this video, she approaches the Kingdom Hall in the neighborhood where Tony Morris III now lives and tells them him a message that "his ass is grass". Her main claim is that she was sexually abused, Tony Morris personally knew about it and was involved in some way.
This is an appealing and catharctic video for those of us that have suffered at Watchtower's hands, and it's understandable that it is going viral.
But if you read/watch all of Salena's content, some of the claims are...incredibly outlandish.
She's claiming that the Zalkin Law Firm is deliberately is hiding victims (i.e. in on the conspiracy?), Watchtower is murdering people and scrubbing it off of Google, Watchtower burned down her house twice to cover her up and then tried to poison her. She says she was personally invited to sit down and participate in a cover up. [Source: Reddit] That Tony's match-blowing talk was a message to tell people to burn down her house, some JWs sacrifice babies to Jehovah. [6:00 in this TikTok]. And that she was personally aware of a pedophile ring that, to quote, "the truth of it is the scope of it was so large it covered 80,000 locations. So in 80,000 locations children are knowingly being preyed upon by child predators." (For context, there's only 120k Kingdom Halls in the world IIRC.) [Source: Tiktok] .
She also claims in the text of another TikTok in 2021, that, to quote:
I have 34,000 individual pages detailing JW CSA cases just like mine. They can never shred them, and they’ve already been read through, sorted, and sent to 18 other countries’ human rights’ diplomats, 6 leading research universities, and about 40 devoted writers and journalists. The USA is very slow to show anything on media
When people ask her for evidence, she responds with sarcasm or tells them to Google it.

It's more than annoying when you get idiots on Youtube that congratulate her, claiming she's so brave and has a lot of guts and promote her tik tok, without seeing the real problems, verifying the information or using plain old common sense.

She may well be a CSA survivor but she doesn't need promoting, she needs help.
