What is the best gift you can give a JW?
by Fernando inthe best gift i was ever given was a question which gently red flagged my ignorance and the ignorance of the religious organisation i was following:.
"please tell me what is the gospel in one word?
".

It would be a cold day in Octember,& there is no such month. My loyalty is to my family not a bunch of liars and hypocrites that are supposed to be Gods channel of communication.

The last 2years we were in, we called right after the meeting because hotels are a 24 hr. business. I didn't have to feel guilty and we stayed at the hotel that was convienient for us and other family members. October will make 3 years faded from this tremendous lie and we can actually take real vacations now. Best decision I ever made.

You are not baptised, you can't be df'd. Just tell them your not comfortable with being baptised at this time. If they ask for an explanation just stick to being uncomfortable, nothing specific. you don't owe them anything. They studied with you freely and counted it as time. It saved them from going door to door. Don't write anything to them. The less you say the better off you are. You can always use the excuse your working on some personal issues. Really ,less said the better. There's a saying, the more you stir sh*t the more it stinks. Wishing you the best!

June 15th WT ( again) JW's told " Elders are Imperfect " Give them a Break
by flipper inthis is one subject that really annoyed me when i was a jehovah's witness - and i find it still annoys me after being out 7 years from the jw's.
the title of this jw only wt study article is " have regard for those who are working hard among you ".
in my opinion there always seemed to be a double standard in which rank and file publishers were always told to be patient with elders shortcomings - however if rank and file publishers slipped up - elders would be into admonishing and disciplining them like flies attracted to dung with no delay.

welcome! Where in the Bible does it say you have to go out in service weekly or attend meetings? Not the principle, the scripture. I was out of work for a year because I refused to work on meeting nights. My husband turned down an opportunity to a dvance because it would interfere with meetings. We have faded about a year and a half now. No one in "Gods Org" stepped up to pay the bills. Keep your job and cite working to take care of your family as your reason for missing meetings. They will eventually leave you alone. Please don't leave your job! If you can get to a library, get the books can't leave listed. I think Don Cameron's book is titled "Captives of a Concept". It's at the library. Crisis of Conscience I couldn't get at the library, had to buy it. All the best to you, keep us posted.
