one step at a time as they say.
i have been helped so much by what i have read here, at first i expected to find bitter and twisted rantings, not so, you all seem very normal.
WELCOME!!!!!! KICK YOUR SHOES OFF. SIT BACK AND RELAX. LIFE IS JUST BEGINNIG.

I seen it and thought it was so funny. Will ferrell is the greatest.
on monday at 2 pm, my grandmother peacefully passed away at the age of 100. .
her last words was when she was straining to see something that we couldn't see and she said, "roy???
" (my grandfather) and then she said, "mom???
Yizuman, I will pray for you in your time of sorrow. I never really had grandparents, You were blessed to have such a wonderful grandmother. From the way you talk about her you loved her very much which means she was a great woman. I am so sorry for your loss.
God Bless.

in our congregation we had one blind brother who has sinced died.we also share the hall with a deaf congregation.in the 2004 yearbook pages 9--11, it mentions that there are 1,200 congrgations and groups of deaf publishers and interested ones around the world.i have not yet read anything about the blind in the 2004 yearbook.. my question to you is:how are the deaf and the blind being aided to understand what we, who are not hearing impaired or blind ,know about the scandals and harmful doctrines that they may not be aware of ,because of the physical limitations they have to bear.does anyone have any experiences that they can share with us about this concern.. blueblades
This is very interesting, I am currently going to school to learn Sign Language Interpreter. I have a cousin who is deaf and we are kind of close. She has taught me lots, but not enough to be an interpreter. I think sign language is a very beautiful language. It is nice to see little things people have in common on this board.
i got a phone call yesterday evening from a very sweet 81-year-old former jw who got my phone number from ray franz.
she really would like some people like us to talk to but doesn't have a computer.
we had a lovely chat, and she gave me her phone number and said i could give it out because she'd love to hear from some other ex-jws.
Hi. I wouldn't mind snail mailing her but she is very long distance for me to call. I don't know how to PM you so can you get her address and PM me? I think it would be very interesting to have a nice little lady to have as a pen pal. You can learn a lot about life from the elderly.
a discussion on another thread made me wonder about what happens when we finally come to the conclusion that the society is full of sh*t.
did you take some time to 'get your religious bearings' before contemplating joining another religion?
or, was it a strong religious belief that brought you out of the jws?
I was raised in this clut and at age 20 started having doubts, at 21 realized JW is not for me, 22 got married to a "worldly" man. It took me 9 years to decide to step in a church b/c I thought the demons would attack me. That was three years ago. I have been going to church every since. I love the freedom I have at this church. The church I go to you can dress how you like. Guys can have long hair, tattoos, earrings and nobody judges them. My Pastor says that church is not for the perfect people. If you are perfect you don't need church. Jesus loves you just the way you are. I feel very comfortable at this church.
i am an ex-witness who faded from the religion about 4 years ago.
interestingly, i am not new to this board because i have been lurking here for over 2 years and enjoying the great wealth of spiritual food here.
i feel so connected with many of the posters here because of my passive involvement with this board.
Welcome to You.
.
knowing all the different time zones we have on this board, what is everyone planning to do?.
im just going to be at home with the wife, dog, two cats and maybe have a beer with the neighbor.. got three bottles of asti chillin in the fridge.
My best friend owns a large fireworks stand and we (my husband and I) go there and bring in the new year with about 30 people while my friends husband shoots off about $100 worth of fireworks. It is so great spending time with my best friends.
