It's strange. I was just talking about this a few days ago with my mother. I used to be terrofied by bad weather. I used to hide and think it was armaggedon. Even a couple of years after I left the borg. and got married I was scared. I used to make my husband come home from work to be with me because I was scared to be home alone during storms. I would sit a cry from fear. Now I kind of enjoy a good rain storm. I think the fear is from all those pictures of armageddon with the lightning and dark clouds they would put in all the childrens books and magizines. all better now.

ARMAGGEDON has arrived !!

it played on mine yesterday.
ive got a very expansive view across the melbourne flatlands and yesterday i looked out the back window and saw this dark grey storm wall coming in with rain so heavy that it was like a solid sheet of grey, swallowing the land.

The Meaning of Names....?
by SpiceItUp inthere are some that are obvious and then others that just baffle me to no end..... yes i am talking about your user names.... do any of you have stories behind them or are they significant for some reason or are they just a word you made up?.
mine...well its easy.... i got the nickname of spicy back in nov of last year when i dyed my hair this crazy red color and the name of the color was "spiced ginger".
the rest of it is because i love to make things more interesting---- sorta of like adding a bit of spice to the stew (hopefully i come across as that as well .

I have been out of the borg for ten years and started going to an assembly of god church. I love it. it is actually considered a non-denominational church. Every one there doesn't care how you dress. If you have piercings, tattoos and such. Pastor doesn't like to wear suits and ties so he just wears casual clothes. I started going there about a year ago. Every message is an uplifting message. No hell fire and damnation speaches. Its great.

If you noticed they never say that the child was removed from harms way, just that the violater had not been allowed to take part in all the "privileges" of the congregation. The child had to go home with the very person whom he/she had just accused of a very serious crime. No telling the result the child had to go through when he/she went home. GOD HAVE MERCY ON THOSE WHO HURT THE CHILDREN!

My darn dog died
by LB ini've had this cowdog for nearly 11 years now.
today she went out in the sun and got heatstroke and just didn't recover.
i gave her cpr and brought her back twice but she was too far gone.

I know exactly what you mean, growing up a JW I used to fear dieing at armegedon b/c I never felt worthy enough in Jehovah's eyes. I used to pray to die before armegedon so I could at least get a better chance of surviving. The fear they instill in children.

You all talk about age diference like it is something bad. I happen to be married to a man 18 years my senior. Been married 10 years and we still get along like the day we were married. My father is 7 years older than hubby but they get along great. age makes no difference if you truely love one another.
