i remember starting going to the meetings when i was 5 and continued till i stopped going to the meetings about 10 yrs ago......total of 25 yrs to the meetings.
i remember as a kid not being able to celebrate birthdays or stuff like that and wearing our dresses up to our knees....that was awful.

i know some of the people that come to this board, used to go to the beyondjw.com boards.
if you have then you might have known dana, aka wingedgoddess01.
if you did, i am sad to report that yesterday her 14 month daughter died.
Hi, I didn't Know Dana (being new here or anywheres) But My heart aches for her and her family also. I don't have children of my own, but I love children so much. It is a very sad thing to hear about the death of a child. I have a 16 month old step-grandson and if anything should happen to him it would be devestating(sp?).My thoughts and prayers are with this family. May God ease their pain. So Sorry.

.
have some jw's who you were close to,try to get you back to the meetings?what did they do?.
one woman i knew..tried to make me feel guilty with letters...saying it was like i stabbed her in the gut.she also gave me, my pictures back,of myself and my daughter.yeh thats a winner.just last year she gave someone i know..pictures i drew back to me, as well ,other pics of my daughter that were hanging around her house.. yeh sure, thats gonna win me over.
The lady who studied with me would come to my house and get her twin boys, who were 5 at the time, whom I adored very much to tell me things like how they wanted me to come back Because Jehovah missed me and they missed haveing me at the meetings. They would ask me why I didn't love Jehovah any more. It really hurt but I never gave in to return. I couldn't believe she would stoop so low as to use her kids that way.

i inherited the ability to talk a lot from the jws...look -->in just a month i have posted over one hundred posts!
oh for crying!...will i ever shut up?.
brummie (who will probably be supreme one in a couple of weeks time)
I've been here since June and still don't have that many.
i've noticed that this is the first holiday season for many here on the board.
that means there's gonna be some pretty sad xmas trees this year .
so my question is does anyone have any great holiday craft ideas????
I liked what I did last year. I bought the very inexpensive suncatchers that you paint yourself. They were in the shape of angels and other christmas objects. When the christmas lights reflected off them it is very sparkley and shiney. I hung them on the tree along with every flavor candy cane I could find. Walmart has about ten different flavors. My family loves to steal them off when I am not looking. But I don't mind. I just love christmas. My favorite time of year.

i think i may have sewn some ribbion to my shorts...*spins in a circle to check*.
Hi, I am in to pressing and drying flowers and doing picture frames with the flowers. I also like to grow and decorate gourds. I like to make things with plastic canvise. Things like wind spinners.I do a little quilting too. Not as good as Joanna's though b/c I am just learning. I have the typical boring housewife life.LOL.

a little advise if possible.. i do suffer on and off from depression and am at present engaging in a warfare to overcome these problems, as unfortunately i have become bogged down with negativity again.. have any of you here used medication prescribed by your gp and if so, was it effective for you?
also, did you suffer any side effects from the use of the medication?.
i am interested as my gp has offered to put me on a course of anti-depressants, but to say i am fearful, is to understate how i feel about the use of prescribed drugs.
Hi,
Clinical Depression seems to run in my family. My mother, sister, and a couple of brothers are all on Zoloft. So am I. It has done wonders for my whole family. The only side effect I seem to have is dry mouth. I stay thirsty all the time. It's worth it though. I was on Paxil but I didn't like taking it because of the way it made me feel, kind of on edge all the time. Talk to your Dr. He/She knows best.
