Oh, let's see...a talking burning bush, a talking pillar of smoke and fire, an unexplainably abundant supply of bread and fish, the ability to walk on water even briefly, seeing Jesus and touching his wounds, resurrection of my grandma or grandpa, a flame of holy spirit above my head, the ability to speak a foreign language I've never studied, a vision where God talks to me I'm blinded for three days and then my vision is miraculously returned and scales fall from my eyes. Any of that would work for me. But just in case none of that is still possible, a normal relationship with any of my family members who now shun me would also suffice, since that would actually answer all those heartfelt, tearful prayers I made. A personal revelation or experience would work just fine for me, even if no one else believed me, I wouldn't expect them to. It would work because I asked for it.

You forgot "love bomb any unbelieving relatives or friends". I actually forgot about that when we went to my grandparents' memorial, so I didn't warn my fiance ahead of time. He thought it was just weird. We went to a funeral last year for a friend who was a devout Southern Baptist. The difference is huge. Real emotions displayed and his life celebrated. It's weird to say, but I actually enjoyed that funeral and I want mine to be the same way minus religion. That's the way it should be, imo.

earthquakes hit that cause such so much distruction, it challenges our government resources.
banks collapse and your money is all gone, fdic insurance is useless as they do not have enough money to replace what you lost.

i was so pleased to see the actual cards that caused all the trouble, after wanting to see it for so long, that i post it today.. first, the background in case anybody does not know the terrible events that happened.
in the late 1960's to early 1970's jehovah's witnesses were cruelly persecuted and subjected to the worst possible beatings, rape torture and death.

My ONLY Regret about being an Ex-Jehovah's Witness...
by civicsi00 inreading the title of this thread, you may believe that perhaps there is one thing that i am discontent with in being an ex-jehovah's witness; and possibly this might mean that i would return to the watchtower.. well, it's not one of those threads.
i am quite happy and content since leaving.
i don't regret it one bit.. my only regret with being an ex-jehovah's witness is that i will never be able to confront the people behind the curtain.. i would have loved to have met fred franz... only to be able to confront him about all his false prophecies.. i would have loved to have met rutherfraud... only to be able to tell him that he wasn't just "being an ass" for the whole 1925 thing.

I have two regrets. I regret not doing the research while I was still in. I think I could've got my brother out and possible the rest of my family. My other regret is being such a good girl. I was so scared of disappointing everyone. Well, now I've experienced the worst, what did I have to be so scared of? I wish I'd been a whole lot naughtier. Would've been a lot more fun and had a lot more social experience. Oh well, live and learn.
