just wondering, for other "unbelieving mates" who visit this site, how many of you fielded spousal interference this week?
for those of you who don't keep up on wt news any more, the november issue of the kingdom ministry contained the above titled article, with a few "helpful suggestions".
i give credit to my hubby that he respected my stand before and after the meeting, even as he harbored a faint hope that the sainted words of the kingdom ministry would reach out and knock me to my "senses".. in summary, the "suggestions" include patience, don't bring up religious arguments, show through your actions and friendliness that the "unbelieving mate"'s prejudices are unfounded, and if all else fails, get them when facing health problems or other crises.. the worst i fielded was directly after the meeting, when hubby asked me what it would take to join the watchtower society.

from a discussion i had with an active sister this past week.
they had no "issues" with accepting the new generation understanding at all, she said.
all the brothers agreed with the reasoning, apparently there were no protests, murmerings or complaints.

I hear several tones in your post, MLE. There's a little nostalgia but regret is more prominent. Sounds to me that wordly girl might have taken you to bed but for your own reserved nature. My theory is that the adventuresome lives of young adult Jehovah's witnesses are taken away from them for all time.

I will put forward only one important benefit from being married to a Jehovah's Witness for almost 33 years. There has never been a question of fidelity.
un general assembly votes to allow gays to be executed without causegay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people were once again subject to the whims of homophobia and religious and cultural extremism this week, thanks to a united nations vote that removed sexual orientation from a resolution that protects people from arbitrary executions.

the world is apparently so full religious nutjobs who think arbitrary execution of gays and lesbians is such a valueable thing, that a resolution to ban it cant get passed in the un.
Hey, bohm. I laughed my ass off when I watched your video. I almost passed out. Your vid is a great demonstration of the problems that might be associated with disposing of 7 billion human bodies, not to mention all the innocent animal collateral damage from that nut case Jehovah's final battle with evil. The WWI battle of Verdun, by the way, claimed over 300,000 French and German lives and mangled another 700,000, so that big pile of bones represents the scrambled remains of only half the soldiers who were killed in that battle. Civilian casualties are unnumbered. Still, next to the Battle of Armageddon, the Battle of Verdun will look like a little pile of chickenshit. And this man chortles over it.
