  I tend to agree with Terry. It is all bluster which in the past has led to concessions and benefits for them, a form of extortion.

  However , they are now ruled by the "kid" who may be stupider than he looks.

  I found out a JW friend of mine has an addiction to torturing animals!

  last night i found out a close jw friend of mine takes delight in watching animal torture.

  i am an animal lover, and i dont know what to think.

  i dont want to end our friendship because this friend has been very accepting of me.

  I mentioned to a friend that the squirrels were raiding my bird feeders. He said he had the same problem and had been killing the squirrels at his feeder with a high powered pellet rifle. I can't do it. I just keep buying more bird food. When I see them I blow a horn or throw pebbles at them. They are cute as hell.

  At the post office a neighbor noticed the muddy cat tracks all over my nice clean car. I laughed and said it forced me to have it washed or wash it myself more often. He looked at me like I was crazy and said, "just kill 'em!". No way I could kill a cat.

  I make an exception if I see mouse turds in my supply of dog food.

  This discussion makes me sad and angry at the same time. I have never heard of such snuff flick videos but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Mean, sick people out there and I hope they all die miserable deaths.

  Creep.

  I can never be a fan of any team Michael Vick plays for. That's right, I feel no spirit of forgiveness for these kind of people.

  it was creepy to see so many people making such a fuss.

  I've seen it done by non JW's and in both cases they were being sincere and few people noticed. The ushers and elders discussed it and those partakers were not counted.

  (We beat the shit out of them in the parking lot)

  ok so i'm really happy and excited about having my baby girl january 31st!

  the same week i learned my sister in law is having a baby due in october but will be having it delivered september.

  Congratulations on the new one in the oven!

  Don't have any advice about the SIL.

  But I will tell you that there are "score keepers" when it comes to favors, gifts, etc. It is an effective control strategy that some people use.

  leaving the org was not a doctrinal choice for me as it was for many on this board.

  i left mentally because of the boredom and then i physically left by being dfd.

  i have been reading here for about a month or so and now i know i made the right decision.

  Without re-reading the account it is my recollection that they had had the passover meal and then Jesus introduced the "my flesh, my blood" ceremony.

  I don't recall that DaVinci or other artists ever portrayed the table with Passover meal remains.
