this was always a waist of time on xmas day, but you know what we always has a full turkey dinner after getting back from the door knocking.. i live in the uk at the moment but will soon move to alberta in canada, what did your jw family do on xmas day did you have family over etc... .
this year we had nobody.
Just a question, What is the ambience of Christmas down-under? Up here in the NH snow and winter themes are a huge part of the holiday.
Do the merchants in Sydney, etc. paint frost, ice-cicles and snowmen in their shop windows in the middle of summer?

here is my understanding of how jws handle disaster situations: they are directed to take care of only jws first.
once all the jws are accounted for and assisted, they will move on to preaching to others in the affected area but not providing any real material assistance to non-believers.. i hope i'm wrong about this.
i have been told by some people that my view is incorrect and that jws are also told to go out into affected communities to provide material assistance to non-believers by providing shelter, water, food, etc.
