  How to get your family out of the JW world.

  on another thread a new poster the truth is mine talked about needing to stay undercover so that he doesn't lose control of his family to all of his well meaning theocratic relatives.. i remember reading a number of success stories about how some on this forum managed to get out with their families intact.

  in particular i was looking for mad sweeney's account of his family bible study night and others who were able to find a way to connect to their loved ones.. i imagine there are a number of lurkers/posters who would like to know how they accomplished that..

  Awesome Giordano!!!! Love that story...... my first "real" problem was the blood issue and our children. It was the can of worms I couldnt shut. We havent done our complete break yet :( but at night when everyone has gone home and there are no pop in visitors - and it is just us and the kids it is pure heaven. Sometimes we feel a bit lost or overwhelemed with no careers or no education, but the cycle is broken for our children :)

  ty Loz as hard as it has been it has been so woth it!! We get to be the people we were always were meant to be, and secretly always knew no more guilt no more shame no more fear. It was fallin in love all over again.

  Wheres the safest place on earth to run to!!!

  with all the bad things happening now where would be the safest place to be, for myself and and famiy i would expect that would be somewhere in the far east high above the food plain, people there also have much more repect for human life and do not leave their elders to die alone without any respect and have a much nicer famiy society and seem to be much more organised as to their affairs.. .

  All joking aside there are places on the planet that get less natural disaters, have milder climates (although all 4 seasons) and have great access to food water and have a small population. I know I live here :)

  I had been doing research, and one night looked over at my husband and said "you know its (reffering to JW's) all bullshit don't you?" and he said "of course what do you think I am stupid?" best 10 second coversation we ever had in ten years of Marriage! Cant wait for our 14th anniversary this year...and thinking of moving in the near future to finish another phase in our fade, the babies are starting to talk and you know.......lol

  My Son's Wisdom

  my youngest son is now in college and while he has always had an extraordinary ability to call it like it is, he is now even more likely to mouth off.

  he is honing his deductive reasoning and objective thinking skills very nicely and with his "don't give a shit attitude" when it comes to pointing out hypocrisy, well he is just a walking bs caller...especially around the jw's.. so we were talking this evening about some stuff that used to be taught in the hall back when i was a kid.

  no college because young people would never grow old in this system.

  if any of you have any doubt about his motives and the greatness of his heroic actions, listen to the entire interview.

  it is more than 3 hours long and i believe he addresses many concerns some here have had.

  some recent threads have touched me emotionally and prompted me to reflect.

  when i think back to when i joined this forum, i was still struggling to come to terms with such a lot of pain.

  it has definitely been a journey, but there is so much i've come to terms with.

  i have been meaning to post this for awhile and i just came across this example yet again with a jw it is so frustrating because it is just not true!.

  i so clearly remember assemblies and talks where this point was brought out over and over, that banks teach their teller only what real money looks like so they will know the feel and touch of it, that banks never give their telles counterfeit but only real money so then when a counterfeit comes through they can catch it easily because they know what the real thing looks like so well.

  it is even in the bible teach book that was printed in 2005.. none of it is true.. when my husband and i left bethel in 1994 i was working at two jobs all the time to try to make it, finally i got a job as a bank teller.

  i'm gonna play the skeptic today on a topic that is painful for a lot of people on this forum.

  my intent is not to stir anything up but to make sure facts are confirmed.

  bear in mind, i'm sickened by the wt's role (and the heirarchy down to elders) in child molestation cover-ups.

  you cant post a minors picture and claim that she was raped and that legos were used in the hororr....(and it was clear is WAS suspose to be her in the image) and not expect this kinda fall out.....
