  the witness came to my house on jan 8 2011 it was completely unannounced.i just wush they would leave us alone.

  The witness came my house saturday. The people were nice my family known them since 1997.BUt is rude since we were cleaning our house.They gave 4 magazines. looking back these people do seem so brainwashed.

  I watched the movie last night and really liked it. It really showed how the Jw's treat their own families in regards to shunning.The ending a little happy and mad. I was mad at the dad for shunning his daughter but happy that the daughter made her decision to stay with the guy Mitchael.I saw in the movie, the religion for what it really is a mind controlling cult mind on submission.

  I did not date as a witness, but I was asked out many times and had to refuse oh the regrets.I am 20 yrs old and I am still nerovus around the opposite sex.

  in another thread, there is a discussion about young people leaving the jws at a rate of something like 88%.

  we see the rules given to the sheep for raising their children and we shake our heads saying, dont they get it?

  what is wrong with the org that it cant see how they are treating the youth?

  i didn't go to college and of course, "higher education" was never recommended.

  still, i never felt terribly deprived because of not going further in my education.. yet, i did wish that i could've had "normal" aka "worldly friends".

  i wish that as witnesses, we could've been better integrated with other people.

  I was not allowed to read any works by Kafka or George Orwell. I even was critized for reading Lord of the flies.I could not watch the movie in school even though I was 15.I got made fun of as a result.
