What the WT requires for reinstatement

it's creepy that they require you to "study" for all meetings and show that you "underlined" to get reinstated.. think about that for a second.

before they let you back in they make you prove that you have been at least partially re-indoctrinated.. i mean, in the end, what does "underlining" really prove?

blu64-Can someone please tell me if disfellowshipping is the same as disassociation? I am trying to get my reinstatement back but only so I can have my family back.....my story has been posted so I will not rehash verbatum but basically am I just running in circles with regards to getting reinstated and then disassociating myself? Are the reprocussions the same???

i was thinking back to all the years i pioneered and all the money i wasted.

my husband and i would go through three tanks of gas a week.

granted gas was about a $1.50 a gallon then but it still cost us about $216.00 a month or $2,592 a year.

Worshiping an act itself

you probably heard of people worshiping people (such as a parent, a study conductor), things (crosses, money), or organizations (a church, the washtowel babble and crap slaveholdery).. i believe, however, there is one other thing one can worship: actions.

and, among the witlesses, the most common acts that are worshiped are field circus and boasting session attendance.

this happens when one believes that they are going to see one or more of their problems gone as long as they are attending every boasting session and/or doing excessive field circus.

I would not be so sure about that. Most Christians have no problem what-so-ever with holiday celebration and some even enjoy it and want the whole family to participate with them. If the spouse is a witness, this will make such a season less than enjoyable since the witness spouse is looking at it all as a tool of Satan.

Letter from elders

the local elders have been trying to visit me (my hubby still attends meetings and he has told them i don't wish to speak with them), they left a copy of a watchtower (on helping inactive ones to return) in my door when i was not at thome, and this last sunday asked my husband if it's ok to write me a letter saying this is what they have to do.

they can't freely stop by as we have large dogs that would keep them out.. does anyone know if this is going to result in my being df'd??

i don't want that to happen yet as my husband's parents who are quite elderly, would be devastated.

This is interesting,..... The Org. has Grown-Ass people, who I am sure are fundumentally good people worried

about being ostracize.

You will not get df'd. You are free to go as you please, as long as you don't go to them with your problems

The elders are making a record of their activity, for the next CO visit which is probably within the next couple months.(other than that you are as free as a bird)

Marrying only in the lord could also mean (heart condition)---so it doesn't have to mean same religion. If I was a JW woman or man

I would marry and date/associate with whoever I wanted.
