  1) i think it's ridiculous to tell anyone when and how to use something they paid for ( computers and internet service ).

  2) i think it's ridiculous to tell married couples how to act in the bedroom.

  3) i think it's ridiculous to tell people what kinda cars they should buy ( 4 door for fieldservice ).

  i don't get around to visit this board very often these days.

  still, when i do, i always come across a thread or two by former jw's who are now church members.

  they don't look any different to me than jw's in so many ways:.

  Sab-The way JWs justify it is to systematically dismantel them and expose them for "what they TRULY are", they do this by finding "evidence"

  I see what you're talking about sometimes as well. But not necessarily concerning these different flavors of Christianity. Because that's just a surface thing, imo. Its the deeper attitude/intolerance of other peoples views that says:

  "I have it right. I found the truth, and anyone who didn't find what I've found is wrongbecause (insert reason here)."

  This attitude is not limited to the believers on this board.

  AKJ- is identifying characteristics of former Christian JW. Why are they that way? Can you look at the question without bringing up what others in different belief systems do.

  i typed the first part and the last part of the paragraph in question so as to avoid the filler.. we too may face situations for which we could be tempted to seek unscriptural solutions.

  for example, are you discouraged because you have no yet found a suitable marriage mate?

  I've been outed...

  so this weekend my wife had a major grand mal seizure for the first time in her life.

  she was rushed to the er.

  a few hours later while i was at her side she had another major one.. it was the scariest moment in my life.

  tuesday night, i drove to a couple of older sister's homes, and dropped off their magazines, and kindom ministries.

  thursday night, i went to the meeting and cleaned and locked up the building.

  i also dropped someone off who earlier recieved a ride to the hall but their ride couldn't come back to take them home.
