Some of the most ridiculous religions like Heaven's Gate, the Branch Davidians and the People's Temple may be no more, but who knows what others will follow. There are always people willing to die for their beliefs, whether it be Islamic terrorists today or someone else tomorrow. Jehovah's Witnesses who die rather than accept blood transfusions don't have a monoply on dying rather than offending their god. And none of them view it as suicide!

i went to school with a lot of those jw kids my age and i can't believe that they continue to be jws when they are free of their parents.. i want to say," you're an adult with a high school education or a ged!

There's something wrong with that picture from the Watchtower Society.
Jehovah's Witnesses have suffered in natural disasters equally with
non-Witnesses in the past. They were not protected by Jehovah then. And believe me when disasters strike Jehovah's Witnesses don't have a joyful look on there faces anymore than anyone else. Or were they not real Witnesses? What assurance do those of today have that they will be protected at Armageddon? Yet the Watchtower would have us believe that they will all be smiling and laughing as the world around them burns and destruction is everywhere. -

Revelation 19:1:- Christians or Angels?

many sites dealing with witnessing to jw's often cite revelation 19:1 as proof that the "great crowd" is in heaven.

Climax At Hand!" on page 36 boasts how songbooks have gone from praising Jesus to praising
Jehovah above Jesus. But does the New Testament agree with the Watchtower's mission to
restore the Divine Name to its pre-eminent position?Yet, if the name Jehovah was of such supreme importance why would Philippians2:9-10 tell us that the Father
gave Jesus the name that is above every other name so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend...and every tongue
should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord...?" Is the Father not here saying that the name of Jesus is now higher than
His own name Jehovah? Also, Acts 4:12 proclaims that "There is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved." See also Acts 9:14, 21.It is in the name of Jesus that evil spirits are cast out. See Acts16:18. Whatever we ask in Jesus' name will be given to us.
See John 14:13 and John 15:16. Miracles were performed in the name of Jesus. See Acts 19:17Far from minimizing Jesus or his name, the whole New Testament centers on his life and mission. His followers preached Jesus whereever they went and did all kinds of wonderful works through his name.
If one loves Jesus, he will be loved by the Father. See John 14:21 No one comes to the Father except through Jesus. See John 14:6, 7. To know Jesus is to know the Father. See John 8:19 He who honors Jesus honors the Father. If you want to know who the Father is, look at Jesus.

It should be quite obvious to Bible students that Moses, angels, the judges, etc. are in no wise on the same plane as Jesus. If they are "gods" it is not in the same sense as Jesus. Jesus is superior to all these entities.
Hebrews 1 and 2 prove from Scriptures that the SON is greater than the angels and that redemption came through Christ, not by angels.
Also, proving that Jesus Himself is not an angel. Hebrews 3 proves that Jesus is higher than Moses.Quote: "For example, we are not to pray to Jesus"
Yet Stephen did in Acts 7:59,60: "As they were stoning him, Stephen said in invocation, 'Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.' Then he knelt down and said aloud, 'Lord, do not hold this sin against them.' And with these words he fell asleep."

No where do we read that Jesus defended Himself using lethal force. As a matter of fact, He told Peter to put away the sword. Overturning tables and using a whip to drive out the animals didn't kill anyone, did it? Jesus never killed anyone while He lived on earth; that is what I mean by non-violence. Jesus taught us to "love your enemies." How does that include killing them?

Isn't it ironic that Jehovah's Witnesses tell us that being a soldier is forbidden in Scripture yet they teach that Jehovah and Jesus will conduct the imminent most gruesome and bloody Battle of all time-- Armageddon? How can a non-violent Jesus teach one thing and do another?
