Is Armageddon a REAL EVENT to the GB like 9/11 is to the rest of us?
by Terry inall of us are aware of the startling and terrifying events of 2001, or 9/11 as it is commonly termed.. airplanes were hijacked and flown into the world trade center killing over a thousand innocent people.. this experience is vivid enough in our memory and consciousness so that it can serve as a significant illustration of what follows.. .
now i want you to imagine that you and a group of your friends received ironclad evidence ahead of the 9/11 event.

The GB tightening their grip! Straw to break a camel's back?
by punkofnice ini post on a couple of forums and read and lurk and all that stuff.. a theme that seems to be gaining momentum is about how the gb are 'tightening their grip' and 'becoming more cultish'.. i don't read the publications anymore and oddly i read extracts of them on the forums.. punk is babbling now.............sorry...................my questions are (sorry if they're a bit long.

' but then i am a mentally diseased apostate).. 1. are the gb really tightening their grip or is it just the same as it ever was........but..........we just notice the propaganda more now we're out?.

I'm still in the Borg. If you miss handing in your field service report (no boxes for FS), an elder will approach you quickly now and you will be asked for your slave time. How's that for control and privacy. The WT$ has no book study groups but now has control groups for FS.

i just put it in the waste basket.

So how many annointed are there and how many supposedly are left?
by stillstuckcruz inmaybe i just don't pay enough attention at meetings, which is a serious possibility.
of the supposed 144,000 thousand jw's that are supposed to go to heaven, how many have there been thus far?
what happens if their number surpasses that 144,000?.

During the late 1960 's the number was around 5000 I think. It does not seem to make sense that the annointed should increase.

I had to attend due to family. No I did not have a drink before attending. What caught my attention was about all the talk about studying and getting baptized to all new ones visiting. Same talk as previous years.

i just came back from the memorial
by J. Hofer init wasn't all that bad.
met a few friends who also don't give too much about it and had some great laughs afterwards.
we talked about how we still remember when only about 7000 took from the emblems and now its more than 11000. we also laughed about how it would look like having jesus and his disciples pass around wine and bread on a plate like that.. all in all it was the same procedure as every year.

I feel like having a drink before I have to attend this evening. It helps me to relax. There will be the fragrance of alcohol i the air.

I recall a man who was not a JW, ate a cracker and drank some of the wine at our memorial a few years ago. You should have seen the audience, you could have heard a pin drop.I never saw that man again. Maybe the elders got rid of him. LOL
